Ok. I have no idea where he's going except that most here (OC) think he's leaning towards Bama... like everyone else in the country. He does well in camps but if you saw him you'd be like, "He's a 5 star OG???"

I agree. I don't see a 5* when watching Davis' tape (although I'm way less than a professional talent evaluator). Still a take IMO.

I'd be more comfortable with a 4 star. He's very good on tape against better comp than the other OG's except for some of the teams Slaton at American Heritage faces. But how will his lack of size hurt him at the next level? Are there sub 6-2 guys who make become All Americans at Top 10 programs? I'm sure it's been done.

Wills will be a better college and NFL guard than Davis. Therefore, they can do better.

I have no man crush on Daley. He's second level on my list like anyone with eyes. ND can sign Beal, Browning or Echols, will they is the question. If/when they don't, that's when you better start man crushing on Daley.

You realize he's the consensus number 1 guard in the country by all sites who get paid to do this for a living?

Just curious, where are you seeing he's under 6'2"? He's listed as 6'3" - 6'5" on the major sites, and I would think a 5 :s: has been looked at pretty closely in camp settings.

He's 6-2 with cleats and a high top fade.. He started out 2 years ago as a 6-5 soph OT... I think hoping he'd grow into it but that didn't happen. Nike measured him at 6-3, no way. You make the call from the sequence of pictures below...

Here's Davis with Brett Neilon who is listed at 6-1.5 - 6-2:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Catch your boyz on the court😤 #100%beef <a href="https://t.co/C2zHiaBEq4">pic.twitter.com/C2zHiaBEq4</a></p>— Brett Neilon (@brettn110) <a href="https://twitter.com/brettn110/status/687821452494544898">January 15, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Another picture of them along with "6-1"( more like 5-10.5) WR Terrell Bynum:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Great day at UDub🐺💛💜 <a href="https://t.co/w2OaWG6IzL">pic.twitter.com/w2OaWG6IzL</a></p>— Brett Neilon (@brettn110) <a href="https://twitter.com/brettn110/status/714687477727043584">March 29, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

And here's Neilon next to Sheldon Day who per the NFL is 6-0.5: Mystery solved.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Met the man, Sheldon Day. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/GoIrish?src=hash">#GoIrish</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/beast?src=hash">#beast</a> <a href="https://t.co/Uxtl6jwVbK">pic.twitter.com/Uxtl6jwVbK</a></p>— Brett Neilon (@brettn110) <a href="https://twitter.com/brettn110/status/683454572761747456">January 3, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Yeah, you would think. I documented it on the first page of the bio. Too many pics to cross reference with and Brett Neilon measured in at 6-1.5 and was rounded up to 6-2.

Yeah, of course i realize it. They're the same people that have been telling us that he's 6-5 for the past 18 months. Since when do you swallow everything they shove down your throat?

I think my record stands on its own. If I know something , I share my thoughts. If I don't, I don't pass along my uneducated opinion. I don't pay for info, I don't ask for DM info for free on Twitter... I don't even have a twitter account. I read and know a few people in this business... and I live 15 minutes from Mater Dei, Bosco, Servite, SMC, Mission Viejo, San Clemente and attend a game every Friday night. I see it with my own eyes.

Gotcha and appreciate the info. Seems weird to me that a site would misstate that and hang its hat on a 5 :s: rating for undersized player, but the pictures do make him look 6'2"ish.

And it's not just one site. It's like a group effort. Now, he could end up being an AA wherever he goes but if you are going to make me choose, I'm taking Wills everytime. He'd still be about my #3 or #4 OG though.

Coming from the 15th-17th per loy

CHANGED to ND today, michigan tomorrow and osu saturday
247 he is with his dad
“Coach Hiestand is great,” said Davis. “He’s been out here a few times, especially during spring ball. I talk to him every week. Just checking in. We talk a lot. I’m looking forward to spending some more time with him when I get to campus."

Davislooks at Notre Dame as the "best of both worlds" when it comes to football and academics.

"I’m definitely looking forward to checking out the school that I consider is the best of both worlds," said Davis of Notre Dame. "The degree and the football. They are always going to be in it and every single year they have a great shot at winning a National Championship.”

Here's a quote Loy provided Lorenz regarding Wyatt's 3 day schedule:

Davis says there's a lot to like about Michigan in a recent interview with Loy as well.

“With Michigan, you can get a pretty good degree there," he said a couple weeks ago. "Especially with what I’m trying to do, which is Broadcast Communications, I can do well there at Michigan. It’s a historic program. Michigan has put out a lot of offensive lineman and coach Tim Drevno is a pretty solid coach.

1. Lorenz couldn't get the info on his own. You like apples Lorenz?

2. "You can get a pretty good degree there." Wyatt knows the difference. That being said he's a Bama lean...

3. "Michigan has put out a lot of offensive linemen" No comparison as of the current state of the offensive line groups comparing ND and UM.

4. "Coach Tim Drevino is a pretty solid coach" He just called HH great in the ND article. Ouch.

One source said ND and Davis are a perfect fit personality wise after seeing him on campus.

Since Jake Long and Lewan who else have they put out?

Is there anyway we can add Davis, Wills and Sarell? Potential to go to the DL but damn, that would be incredible.

I think it depends on what Trey Smith does. Is Smith goes elsewhere, then I could see them taking both Wills and Davis (assuming they both want in). But I think the staff would like Smith, Sarrell, and Wills to finish off the 5 man OL class

If he doesn't pan out at OG, he'd probably be good as a NT. Why keep talking about moving the 6'4"-6'5" kids (like tillery and Wills) to DT, when you may have someone a little short for the OL?

Jesus christ, how do you not narrow that down, unless you just really like the attention

In other articles, Loy mentioned that Davis' favorite part about OSU was that Urban gave him the campus tour and their players get job offers if they don't make the NFL. Michigan offers the potential to play as a frosh (which I think is a horrible idea for OL); but he liked it. Harbaugh said he could be a tackle. Looking to OV to OSU for the Michigan game.

Granted Loy is the Irish's guy, but the articles seemed that the ND visit left the biggest influence - imo.

Read somewhere that his convo with Urban Meyer stood out the most on his midwest swing

The announcement tomorrow is scheduled for 3:00 PDT at his high school.
Alex Gleitman on Bucknuts said it will be between ND and OSU; whereas it was Bama and UCLA favored going into his midwest swing.
Tate Martell tweeted something hinting it will be OSU; and everyone is jumping on the OSU call. Sucks to be second to these guys, but OL is one group we can afford to be second a couple of times. They are also saying that if Davis goes to OSU, it closes the door on T. Smith (not that he was going there).

Loy is certain he's going to OSU. Raved about his OSU visit. Shut it down. The bad guys win.
