Pretty sure that Trent Balke (the idiot as my brother calls him) is still the decision maker.

I think the 9ers were going to take Garnett at 37. But they have 12 picks and most of them in rounds 4-7. I think they wanted to dump the extra picks and also have he 5th year option on Garnett by taking him in the 1st.
