This. I'm always more familiar with something after having done it multiple times rather than having it just explained to me.

Yeah, live reps will help. I'm still on team Malik but if Kizer wins the job I think I'll still be able to sleep at night.

My son also got a pic with Yoon. Nobody really seemed to give him much attention with the bigger names around so we had to show him some love.

Start of the year he made me nervous. The Asian Sensation looked very comfortable by the end of last season.

was always 100% on team malik...but have to admit I'm wavering now.
Kizer just continues to impress (like he did last season).
will need them both in 2016 (especially to preserve a Wimbush redshirt year)

I didn't think it would be a question on the QB position. I was pretty sure the Zaire would be the starter come 2016. But Kiser to me is so much more impressive with his arm.

I can see either QB starting. But looking at it as who I can see on the bench, I can see Malik on the bench for some reason, but cannot imagine Kizer there.

I realize this perspective is either brilliant or really stupid. But it's the off season.

The thing that worries me about Kizer was it seemed like things got sloppy too often. I have no idea if the stats back me up at all, I could very well be wrong. It felt like things bogged down in the red zone or he'd throw picks or whatever in that neck of the woods.

Kelly made a quote last week, or maybe it was further back (Maybe someone remembers) saying that we altered the offense when Kizer took over last year. He said that evolution of the offense was something that Kizer was familiar with since he ran it much of last year, but Zaire didn't have the benefit. That's what I was referencing anyway. So, while Kizer is more familiar with that scheme or wrinkle, Zaire has been in Kelly's offensive system longer and is likely as proficient or more so than Kizer in that regard.

Perfectly explained.... OR I misunderstood CBK in the exact same manner.

I understand what you are saying. But since he made that first statement that sounded like the offense 'changed direction' for Kizer, Kelly clarified himself. His explanation seems to be that they advanced the offense farther with Kizer last year, as opposed to any directional change.

So the things Kizer, as opposed to Zaire is doing, are more sophisticated. Thus the need to 'catch up.'

Why wasn't Yoon kicking all of the FGs?

I was wondering that myself during the game because I was sitting there in the stands going through my program to figure out who was who. I would imagine the coaches consider Yoon a known quantity and wanted to get the backups some "live" work in case something happens to him, God forbid.

Kelly also seems to be doing this more with other 2nd or 3rd team players this year, getting them some action just in case(Again, God forbid) there is attrition again this season.

When in particular? I remember some issues with ball protection but I never recall us being "sloppy". Even our losses were good performances from Kizer. He led a scoring drive in Palo Alto before our defense sh!t the bed.

You can't expect perfection, but you can expect a player to compete and I believe Kizer does that mentally on every rep.
