Aybar must be the first dude the Angels ever got rid of at the right time. They are usually in the business of over paying for players on the verge of decline. ;)

I expected a decline in defense because Simmons is damn good. But I didn't expect this. The braves might set an all time record for loses.

although if that was some back handed shot at Pujols, you aren't paying much attention to everyone else the Halos have signed in the last decade... Albert is a huge success compared to many others.

I have been waiting for this defensive genius to show up... he hasn't been bad but he has also missed many balls that Aybar would have gotten to or that you would just expect 'the best defensive SS in the game" to get to...

It was more of a joke, but you're right. Pujols has been good for you guys, albeit overpaid. He'll always be a favorite of mine though. Even if he broke my heart like I was a $2 whore.

That's odd for Simmons. Maybe both players are uncomfortable in their new surroundings.

Obviously you haven't seen the Twins play this year.

I feel you. He hasn't been what he was but he's continued to be a 'good/plus' player and is gold in the locker room... I'm happy with it, especially considering:

Steve Finley
Vernon Wells
Chris Inetta
Josh Hamilton
Hideki Matsui
Joe Blanton
Gary Matthews Jr.

just off the top of my head... I'm probably forgetting a few too... My Halos have been cursed with FA signings for the most part, if they were known names at the time of the signing then chances are they reached epic new levels of suck... and this is ignoring mid season trades... smh.

I feel exactly the same. The Twins are a mess right now but whatever, don't care. Baseball is back and that's all that matters. I'm seriously considering getting MLBTV just to listen to Vin in his last year.

I have thought about this as well... but I'm not sure if the games are STILL blacked out here in LA even with the MLBTV stuff... wouldn't shock me with the way this mess has been going... thank goodness I'm an Angel fan and not a Dodger fan, I have friends and family who haven't been able to watch their team for a few years now....

Doesn't matter if the braves are 0-6 or 6-0 right now I would still be interested. Baseball in general is awesome to watch.

Would someone, for the love of gawd tell the Halos that it's within the rules of the game to get a hit with runners in scoring position?!?! Every damned inning they kill the ball, until someone gets on second,....

Man Pujols has hit like ten (honestly, around ten) balls that have been caught against the wall this year, it's unreal, add maybe 20 collective feet to these balls and he's got ~15 home runs and batting near .300 instead his numbers look like he's sucking.... Feel for him, he's just on the edge of a great year

David Ortiz...enough said. WOW!!

The most clutch hitter I've seen in my lifetime.

Best I have ever seen: Jerry lynch 1961 Cincinnati Reds
He put together several fine seasons as a pinch-hitter, but his 1961 campaign for the Reds may be one of the best ever. In 59 plate appearances, he batted .404/.525/.851 with 12 walks, four doubles, a triple, five home runs and a record 25 RBI.
Smokey Burgess wasn't too shabby either

2004 and 2013...Big Papi!!!

Yesterday just added to the legacy, I mean clutch. Biggest hits in the biggest moments. He is amazing.

Lord knows I LOVE beating the Dodgers, my goodness do I love beating the Dodgers...

That last half inning was a thing of beauty, hopefully the score holds ( lord also knows with my Halo bullpen anything is possible).
