Wiltfong in with the ND CB. Initially said that he thought ND trailed but could make up a lot of ground with a strong visit, then he spoke with Pete and he put in his CB.

If this part was said today, after the offer, that's no bueno.

I originally thought that but it's not what was said in the Loy/247 article I posted above. This is different. Hopefully it was simply an isolated case of poor journalism on the author's part.

When they fill out their 9th grade registration it should immediately be sent to the registrar for fast track, early enroll status.

Werner got that Sparty offer today along with his Class of '18 teammates, future Irish RB Markese Stepp and possible future Irish OG Emil Ekiyor.

Cal slipped an offer in so when his transcripts pass admissions at Stanford they can weasel an unofficial in when he flies out to the Bay. I see you Cal!

According to the McCaffrey rule:

A player coming from an athletic family must commit to a school that is equal or one level removed from the institution attended by the parents or older siblings.

With a brother at Harvard, that narrows his list to ND, Stanford and I won't count NW or Duke out, they were there early and you never know what a relationship can do with these unpredictable smartypants kids.

Add italics to taste.

Werner believes it will come down to ND/UM and ND is recruiting him harder right now. He talks to Elston and Kelly frequently so it sounds like we're making him a priority. I'd love that land this kid early. A foundation type player for this class.
