'13 PA WR Will Fuller (Notre Dame Signed LOI)

Depends on his work ethic. He can drastically improve his ability to catch with practice, better technique and repetition.

Agreed!

I don't believe his problem is his hands. Big, small, or otherwise.

I think his problem is trying to play two steps ahead of where he should.

If his hands were bad, he wouldn't have half the catches he did.

Look back at some circus catches he has made. And the way he pulled some in keeping his foot in bounds.

I mentioned Brown because that was how he started out getting PT at Pittsburgh; as a one route guy that used flat out speed to take the top off of the defense. He then developed into the complete receiver that he is today. Mike Wallace was the first guy that they really utilized as just a deep speed guy, while Hines Ward was still the go-to guy, and he turned into a pretty good receiver. Then they plugged Emmanuelle Sanders into that role, as Wallace took on a more prominent role in the passing game. After Wallace left at the conclusion of the 2012 season, Sanders took on a bigger role in the passing game and Brown was used to be the deep threat. When Sanders left after the 2014 season, Brown took over as the go-to guy, and the Steelers hoped that Markus Wheaton would become the deep burner. That hasn't really happened like people would like. So Fuller could be a great fit in Pittsburgh.

They have Martavis Bryant that they're using for a lot of deep routes. I doubt they'd use a high pick to go after another WR like that.

You might be right. But I didn't predict that the Steelers would take him. I simply responded to a post about what kind of situation would be good for him, and pointed out that he would probably fit in Pittsburgh's offense.

I'm super proud of Will's 4.32 40 still, super pumped.

Kiper has him going in the first round now. McShay has Fuller at 26 on his big board.

Kid is making noise.

The Lions will reach for him at 16... They already have Golden., and TJ Jones... might as well take another ND WR

Lions just signed Marvin Jones away from Cincy. The WR FA market is awful this year.

If Fuller is there at 24, the Bengals need to pick him up for sure now. Corey Coleman would be good too.

Either of those guys will have the chance to be a better Marvin Jones than Marvin Jones was.

I swear Coleman is still underrated despite his stats. He seems destined to fall out of the 1st round and I don't get it. I would love for the Pats to find a way to snag him in the 2nd. I know Baylor has a video game offense, but all those WRs seem to produce in the NFL....Terrance Williams, Kendall Wright, Josh Gordon....Briles clearly has an eye for Receivers.

If Fuller is gone before 24, I would almost guarantee that Coleman doesn't make it out of the first round, as the Bengals will snatch him up. A lot of mocks have them grabbing Doctson, but they don't need a guy like Doctson. They need the new Marvin Jones to optimize their offense.

NFL.com "experts" with an article/video saying Will Fuller one of the most overrated offensive prospects in this years draft. Personally, I disagree with that. He is a play maker with great speed.

Best thing that could happen to him though is he falls out of the 1st round and winds up going to the Patriots in the 2nd round. Catching passes from Brady and having Edelman in the slot and the two headed monster of Gronk/Bennett at TE would free him up to get deep 1 on 1. That would be an offense that would put up record breaking numbers if everybody stays healthy.

If it's the article I saw, they also had Stanley on that list which is just stupid IMO.

Fuller is small and has average hands.

If he had just the major production at a major school, or just the 4.32, I'd get it.

But regardless of his size and hands, he's a 4.32 with 2 year's proof of production against the best of the best. He's not overrated, he's proven. It's not like he's disappearing against USC and going for 280 yards against Grambling State. Our schedule is as tested as anyone's and he's done it big for 2 years with 3 different QBs.

Completely agree. I would love the Chiefs to snag Fuller. We desperately need a deep threat even though Im not sure our QB could get him the ball.

Love Fuller's game, but first taken would be surprising.

Not surprising this year as the WR crop is weak. If it were like most years he probably go in the mid 2nd round to early 3rd round.

I think Treadwell is solid and would go ahead of Fuller, maybe a couple of others. Would love to be wrong.

Fuller is one of the rare ND players that outsiders seem to like more than ND fans. Maybe we've seen the full package and not just the highlights. Dude was amazing at times, but I'd take Floyd or Tate before him in a heartbeat if they were in the same draft.

Was thinking that the other day. Tate was still the best all around WR I've seen at ND. I figured Floyd would be better at the next level with his size, but it's surprising to me that Fuller will likely get drafted higher than Tate.

I remember hearing a lot about Fuller the summer of the 2013 season, but Rees probably took away a lot of production he could have had that we saw last year

Why? Two different classes. Apples to oranges. Shouldn't be surprising at all if it happens.

Not buying it but I think his stock is going up as much as any other receiver in the draft over the past few months

For whom? NFL scouts don't give a rats patooty what some media guy tweets.

Scouts leak to a media guy they are definitely planning to take Fuller when in fact they plan to take someone else. They hope somebody will reach for Fuller and allow them get the guy they truly covet.

The only problem I have with your theory, Dublin, is that Daniel Jeremiah is one of (if not THE) smartest scouts out there. I would be shocked if he's being used as a plant. If he is, that means he's playing along to help somebody out.

He wouldn't put that info out to the public if he thought he was being used for misinformation.
