How soon we forget...I'll take CJ by a hair.

I was shocked at Adams' speed this year however, coming off the injury.

I've forgotten nothing!

I just get jacked up whenever I see Adams' TD run against Stanford. You can visibly see him hit the turbo button and accelerate when it looks like the Stanford DB's might converge on him. They're all running at top speed, and BAM! Adams picks up an extra three steps on them just like that.

Is it just me or does CJ look, by far, as the least physically fit? I know he only had one year at RB but for a guy playing major Division I football for four years in a college weight training program he is noticeably soft compared to ever other RB in the combine.

I think it may lead to some scouts questioning his durability, something that usually isn't the case with 220lb running backs with very little injury history.

CJ's official 40 time was 4.40. Pete Sampson is reporting that's the eighth fastest time for an RB in the last six combines, only two of whom weighed over 220 lbs. Long story short, CJ done good.

I'm not watching the combine but I agree. He always had a 'soft' body and narrow shoulders to me, and I wondered where the 220 was. Must have some thick legs, which if he learned to run lower, would serve him well at RB.

Yeah, I'm not saying he can't be successful in the NFL, I just wonder how he'll hold up if he's not a solid 220 like, say, Keith Marshall. I think he's going to be a steal, and not just based on his 40. Low mileage, low center of gravity, very good quickness.

2016 Combine

Holly shit 4.4 official time! Can we verify that?

Edit: just went on NFL.com and they have the official time of 4.48. None the less super time at 220. Locked up a day two selection.

Seeing 4.48. Great speed for 220 lbs, but I honestly expected better. 3rd-5th round? Loaded with potential since he's raw at RB, but also gotta wonder if he can hold up at that position.

I don't know how you expected better. He ran a faster time than Henry. He blew the doors off Theo Ridick time and Cierre Wood.

I mean I thought he would run in the 4.55 range.

I expected better because he looks faster than 4.48 to me. And I would expect just about every RB in the league to run a faster 40 time than Riddick...

4.48 was faster than I expected. You have to remember most running backs are not burners. I believe the average time usually for running backs at the combine is like 4.55-4.57.

I really believe a one of 4.48 is great for him.

Sheldon Day interviewed on the local radio sports talk. Wants to rep out 30 on the bench press tomorrow. Very well spoken young man.

Yeah, I saw that 4.55 has been the average for rbs over the past 5 years in the combine.

Watching the combine now and Marshal Faulk is gushing about CJ. Faulk is basically saying that CJ is going to be a nightmare catching out of the backfield.

Also poor turn of direction, doesn't have quick feet and has zero experience in the passing game.

Mayock bringing up Mike McGlinchey. Basically stating he will take over for Stanley and they will be talking about him a lot either next combine or two years from now.

Just saw that they are awarding "medals" to schools for top 3 players in different events. Too bad Jaylon is injured, as he probably could've done some work in these.

2 ND players in the Top 13, so far, in the 40.

2. Will Fuller (4.33)
11.(tie) CJ Prosise (4.48)

Remember when all ND needed was some speed, and then we would be dominating again?

Don't tell me Brian Kelly is not bringing in talent!

He just needs to add more depth on the DL and bring in more talent at the safety spots

Sorry but this has to be posted. Chris Jones' 40 yard dash was...ummm....interrupted? by a wardrobe malfunction. Dude's package came out of his shorts.

ND players made a good showing this weekend. And of course Mayock really pumped them up.

He's absolutely bringing in talent - I don't think anyone has disputed that. Is he recruiting efficiently enough to win a natty?

No numbers on Brown for anything. He must have dropped out for some reason. Sucks b/c I would have loved to see how he stacks up.
