I'm at my job site and the dirt work crew recently found a boat that was sunk, It dates back to the Revolutionary war. They are planning on removing It tomorrow. I'll keep you all updated when I can.
I'm in the orange coat by the crane in some of the takes.:wordyo: <iframe scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen src="http://up.anv.bz/latest/anvload.html?key=eyJtIjoiZXBmb3giLCJwIjoiZGVmYXVsdCIsInYiOiIyMzUwNjYiLCJwbHVnaW5zIjp7ImRmcCI6eyJjbGllbnRTaWRlIjp7ImFkVGFnVXJsIjoiaHR0cDovL3B1YmFkcy5nLmRvdWJsZWNsaWNrLm5ldC9nYW1wYWQvYWRzP3N6PTY0MHg0ODAmaXU9LzYzNzkwNTY0L3d0dGcvbmV3cyZjaXVfc3pzPTMwMHgyNTAmaW1wbD1zJmdkZnBfcmVxPTEmZW52PXZwJm91dHB1dD12YXN0JnZwb3M9cHJlcm9sbCZ1bnZpZXdlZF9wb3NpdGlvbl9zdGFydD0xJnVybD1bcmVmZXJyZXJfdXJsXSZjb3JyZWxhdG9yPVt0aW1lc3RhbXBdJmRlc2NyaXB0aW9uX3VybD1odHRwJTNBJTJGJTJGd3d3LmZveDVkYy5jb20lMkZuZXdzJTJGbG9jYWwtbmV3cyUyRjY5MzI2OTA4LXN0b3J5In19fSwiYW52YWNrIjoiYW52YXRvX2VwZm94X2FwcF93ZWJfcHJvZF9iMzM3MzE2OGUxMmY0MjNmNDE1MDRmMjA3MDAwMTg4ZGFmODgyNTFiIn0" width ="640" height="360"></iframe>

Rumor has it that some of BVG's defensive schemes were discovered among the wreckage.

Hull, you can see the stern and the way they built these things back then was amazing! It's layers of 2" wood under the railroad like timber you can see clearly. There are holes drilled with wooden pegs that tie everything together.

The spot in the middle taking up space for my rig to be set up is now known as the Privy: a small outdoor building that is used as a toilet.. I was never told there'd be centuries old shit I'd be wadding through too... Need to call somebody.

Awesome. Working in Charleston we find lots of unmarked graves in the city but never ships. So cool.

This is pretty damn awesome. Sunken ships are everywhere and sometimes people know exactly where they are, but don't do anything about it. One of my old professors lives in an Italian resort town in the Adriatic over summers/sabbaticals. He made friends with a few of the local fishermen who told him about some sunken Roman ships nearby that have never been examined. The fishermen brought it up to the officials responsible for culture etc and they were told that they were required to disclose the location for no fee or anything. It's a shame that they all forgot where the ships lay at that exact moment. Oh well.

It's a shame the government won't reward and encourage people.
If I was that fisherman, I'd be getting my diving cert....

You have to have your pics hosted some where..... tapatalk is probably the most painless way. at least it's the easiest the way I've found.

I don't know the specifics of the location or about where you can/cannot dive, but I imagine that wouldn't end well. Besides, if you're caught taking anything, it's easily jail time. It's too bad though. Roman ships don't pop up every day (unfortunately).

If they know, I'm assuming it's not too deep.
