So it WAS a late hit. Or close enough to one. As if I needed one MORE reason to hate the Buckeyes...

I know you play to the whistle, and I know you want to hit their best player to show him you're playing tough, but fuck me if I'm not salty about that.

Not shocking, but

Honest question, now that we know it's a significant knee injury, would he really still be a 1st rounder knowing he won't play much or at all as a rookie. Also not knowing how it will affect his movement and speed.

1st round, yes. Top 10, no way. Returning to school is a better business decision.

Jarron tore his MCL in August and played today, 5 months later...although not at 100%. Have to assume Jaylon is in a little better shape than Jarron to begin with so maybe a little quicker healing time.

An MCL typically isn't as big a deal. Depending on the severity he could be fine by mid-late February, but do we know if it's an MCL?

Based on the way the knee bent, what was tweeted and what I have heard...pretty sure that is the injury.

That was a pretty cheap push in the back after play was pretty much over.

I feel sorry for Jaylon and hope for a speedy recovery. He has been a great player and a model citizen. With all of the prima donna's (5 stars) out there, he has been perfect. I do not remember hearing one off the field negative during his career at ND.

No MRI done yet and haven't heard anyone say anything outside of an MCL tear. What have you heard?

This guy is right about 99% of the time. I've had to follow him a lot this year with Pats injuries. He's been right all the time.

Where is he basing this off of?

So he's saying just a torn pcl and no acl damage?

If you have the stomach to click the link, the doctor is guessing that Jaylon's injury is similar to Nick Chubb's. Apparently, Chubb tore his PCL and also injured something called the posterolateral corner (PLC).

If the doctor's speculation proves correct, the injury would be worse than a simple ACL tear.

Wow that sucks......Do people now think a team gives up a 1st round pick for someone who probably won't play his first year and don't have the history to look at like you do an ACL?

If out a season, obviously would have nothing to come back for anyway.

Just based off film. He's an old NFL team doctor. He's also said in the past that team doctors knew just about every on the field before seeing any MRI. He's very good with his injury diagnoses. He called the Gronk injury for what it was as it happened this year in Denver when everyone initially thought he was out for the year. He's been correct every time I've checked out his injury predictions for Pats players, and there have been a bunch of those injuries.
