I keep seeing people say this, but is there any reason to not take him at his word?
I guess it all depends on what he hears back from the NFL evaluators. Been reading conflicting reports that he just did not want to distract the team. I hope he stays, but if he gets a first rd grade...
I think it's a given that he'll get a first round grade. Loyalty to the team and coaches is the only carrot, but nobody is going to fault him for going pro.
IIRC it was reported that he was asked to be more vocal as a leader and hasn't.He shoulda been mlb, I assume only pitch kelly can make is come back be mlb and run defense. It's a joke Joe was the Blitzer so much over jaylon, I also don't understand why jaylon wasn't used as pass rushing olb/de on obvious pass downs. Course if he lined up de, bvg probably would've just had him drop in coverage anyways
Do you guys think there's a better chance he comes back if we win/lose to OSU? I feel like if we win he'll realize how close he is to the whole thing and it will make it more likely he comes back.
There you go letting emotions dictate your thinking again.
What?
You're hoping the bowl game will play a role in Jaylon coming back. Otherwise you're not asking the question, right?

Without the bowl game the question wouldn't exist. I'm not hoping for anything. I'm asking if people think going out with a big win/loss will make Jaylon think differently about next year. This has nothing to do with me emotions which is why I'm confused.
I don't know if it would or it wouldn't, but I'd hope he isn't going to make the decision based on anything like that. Only thing that should impact it is whether he will make more money in his career by going now and playing an extra year, or by coming back and making more money in his first deal.
Congrats Jaylon. Just change the title of this thread to Notre Dame man

No idea what ND man means but my vote goes to those who actually graduate.
You make it seem like he owes you four years of his life for some reason.
Doesn't owe me shit. But if this made up title is for the true ND folk, you'd think it'd be reserved for ones who actually take advantage of the degree and graduate.
Don't spin this as anthing more than that just because you're on a trip tonight - he doesn't owe me shit and I'll applauded him if he goes pro and wish him the best.
Disagree the title should be changed. Just because he leaves a year early doesn't mean he won't graduate. I def see him coming back in the spring and summer to complete his degree ala Jimmy Clausen.
