Based on the teams they have played, I don't know if I would classify them elite just yet. Would like to see them do it against a really decent defense. Iowa looks the part... but without a high profile win thus far, I gotta see more before I think they belong in the top 4.

And with the competition they have playerd and their style of offense is this not to be expected?

[NCAAF] vBook: Iowa at Nebraska

Iowa's resume is suspect, their ranking debatable, and their probability of becoming vegetables after playing Alabama is 100%.

However, all they can do is win the games on their schedule, which they have. If they beat Michigan State, Iowa deserves the privilege of having Alabama ensure the Hawkeye players have to wear a colostomy bag the rest of their lives.

For the record jayhawk... I don't have anything against Iowa. I just would like to see them against a little better competition. That's all.

Then I think Notre Dame has a strong argument to be ahead of them.

edit: sorry... if Iowa is unbeaten and B1G champ... they should get in. A one loss Iowa or Notre Dame - I like Notre Dame's chances.

I don't think a 1 loss Iowa should make it. But an undefeated Iowa should be the 2 seed.

Bolded shows elite OL play? You have lost me on that argument. I'd stick to your reused stat if that's the back up.

I'm not saying they are bad, they aren't. But elite to me is like top 3-5 in country. I am not willing to say that seeing their competition.

No. But I've watched nearly every snap this year. Iowa tends to own the line when on offense.

If you're going 3-5, no, they aren't elite. But I think they are top 10-15.

I think Penn State has a shot to beat MSU. And if so,I would take the tOSU/Michigan winner over Iowa in the B1G title game. Preferably Michigan over tOSU because I haven't really thought about an tOSU/ND debate for a final slot. Given tOSU's SOS, my initial thought would be the Irish would get in.
