Oh yeah...the refs are clearly rooting for Iowa.

Two sideline warnings on the same play? Right.

This is a ball game.

Ferentz lost his shit there for no reason it appeared.

May have been something that camera didn't catch but nothing stood out in that play worthy of his reaction.

And nothing was worth a warning followed by a penalty. C'mon.

Yep.

Ferentz is one of the 5 calmest coaches in the country. He doesn't flip over nothing.

Yeah I'm just saying camera clearly didn't show it and I saw nothing during play that seemed worthy of his reaction.

However, once a coach has made his point to where a sideline warning is given you don't continue to throw headsets. The follow up penalty was on him.

ND, Kansas, and Iowa huh? Who is ur sec, ACC, and pac favorite?

In no way is this Iowa team a top 10 team. What a joke. Goes to show what a schedule like they play can do for a team.

I've never seen Ferentz flagged. Something evoked it.

I have affiliations with several schools. The only other one would be Arizona. It also depends on the sport.

But Iowa is better than people think. Doesn't mean they'll win today. Nebraska is pretty good and they're at home playing for a bowl. Tough game.

I'm a ND fan first.

But...

What is ND's best win? What is Iowa's best win?

What is ND's best win? What is Iowa's best win?

Too many people bring up this argument. Personally, I don't like it. If a team plays 3 hard games with 1 top 10 team and 9 easy games, they are more rested and healthier to take on a tough opponent. Compare that to a team that plays only 3 easy games and 9 hard teams with their toughest a top 15, everyone says they don't have the best win. But they don't get to rest their starters who get more banged up and it is harder to compete every week.

We tend to see this with the SEC and we are seeing it this year with the Big 12. Very easy OOC schedule for most of them and the only tough opponent is the couple teams at the top of the conference.

BCF Toys - 2015 FEI Ratings

If you look to the right you will see what each team is against each platform of opponent.

As you will see Iowa's top level of competition is AA. AA for Above Average (ranked 31-50). While ND is 0-1 vs Elite, 1-0 vs very good, 1-0 vs good, and 2-0 vs above average.

You haven't answered my question. ND's best win vs. Iowa's best win. I know that's not the only criterion, but look it up...

What's Iowas? Pittsburgh by a FG? Don't tell be NW or Wisky because they both are terrible. The B10 West is not a good conference. I am going on the eyeball test of the times I have watched Iowa. Any other conference they have 3 losses already.

Iowa has had one gmmie game in North Texas. ND had UMass.

Iowa State is okay, Northern IL is an elite I-AA team (which isn't great).

Beyond that, Iowa has played a bunch of mediocre teams. No elite teams to be sure.

But Iowa's best three wins are very comparable to ND's best three.

What's ND's best win?

It's Navy (16th ranked). They just lost today.

Iowa beat Northwestern (17th ranked) on the road by 30.

You missed the whole point of my post. I'm sure there are a ton of SOS rankings out there so I will reference the one I saw first. Teamrankings.com shows Notre Dame is ranked 14 and Iowa 63. That means Notre Dame plays tougher opponents week in week out and does not get the rest Iowa does. Better rested, less injuries, less banged up means starters are prime for the few tough games on their schedule.
