I was in KC right before the World Series last year, it was pretty amazing how the town came in behind that team... having been there numerous times before you NEVER felt the presence of the Royals...at least in my experience, though I suppose two decades of awful baseball will do that to you...

Was that after he damn near broke his hand?? It could have been something for that, I can't remember a team getting in trouble for a player other than a pitcher having anything on their uni and equipment, aside from the famous George Brett incident, which wasn't even really cheating.

Royals' relievers struck out twelve batters in eight innings including Wade Davis striking out the side in the tenth and Ryan Madson striking out two of the three batters he faced in the eleventh.

World Series 2015

I was in KC right before the World Series last year, it was pretty amazing how the town came in behind that team... having been there numerous times before you NEVER felt the presence of the Royals...at least in my experience, though I suppose two decades of awful baseball will do that to you...

Pittsburgh is a carbon copy. The Pirates were left for dead by the fans also, but their recent upswing has got the city buzzing again. Can't argue either isn't a great sports city, seeing the Chiefs and Steelers have two of the best fan bases in the NFL, and the Chiefs fans have been doing it without much (if any) success.

You hope they can keep this team together. Management has made so many good moves though. I think I read that only eleven players on this year's roster played in last year's World Series. In their starting pitching rotation for the Series, only one pitcher played in last year's Series.

As for the Royals....FEELS GREAT TO BE A FAN OF A WINNER! This team is simply amazing. They do it without great power hitters or a starting rotation of aces 1-5. They play great defense, speed and aggression. More than anything, they believed in each other and never gave up. THAT'S what champions are made of. Congrats to the Royals!
