If Glenn is still alive, the camera shots are either inconsistent or extremely deceptive. The first shot of him hitting the ground, Nicolas is clearly not on top of him. It's just Glenn by himself.
The 2nd shot zooms in on his face and upper chest, so it's not clear if HIS body is actually being eaten. But based on the first shot, he was being eaten.
I thought he was dead last night, but after reading some of these comments and the fact he wasn't remembered on Talking Dead (Didn't watch it yet, and I'm kinda glad I haven't been), it certainly makes me think he's still alive. It does make you wonder how he could have possibly survived that if Nicholas was on top of him and it appeared the zombies were tearing into Glen. Did the zombies pull Nicholas' head off, and THEN we see then tearing into Nicholas' body with Glen underneath? They're certainly being a little deceptive with Glen's death, and if he is alive, I applaud them for that effort even if the logistics of the whole thing don't make much sense.
I've been thrilled with the season so far. Just 3 episodes in and this is shaping up to be the best season since the first imo. They're doing an excellent job providing tons of action and still balancing the drama/dialogue with it. There's a general sense of danger, it doesn't feel like they're just going to Rambo out of every situation.
As to the second bolded, this is the first season in forever that I have been on the edge of my seat. When I'm wondering whether Rick will actually survive something, that's good writing.
What i'm wondering, is if his cut hand is foreshadowing the similar arch that takes place in the comics with Rick.

They talk about a character that hasn't been introduced yet, so don't open unless you okay with that. But just some theory and tinfoil about Glenn.
Did Glenn Really Die on The Walking Dead? - TWDEnthusiasts.com
If Glen is alive how is he going to get out of the situation he is in?
If Glen is alive how in the hell is he going to get out of the situation he is in?

My guess is the guts and blood camo.... I believe they did it in season one. Just a guess.
First, didn't Rick cut himself when the knife he used, uncharacteristically a pocket knife, collapsed as he was pithing a zombie?
Secondly, the fact that anyone would see someone's eyes opened, conscious, not apparently in death throws, if there was a possibility they were being eviscerated and eating, deserves merit as the greatest question inspired by fiction, ever.
Not an expert by any means, but I think to open an abdominal cavity and allow intestines to vacate their normal confines, it has to be done with a small slit, low and to either side of the abdominal muscle. Even though prisoners have walked long enough to completely empty their body cavities of their entrails, something less than 30 feet, if the intestines are removed too forcefully, or once they are relieved of the cavity, other organs cease to function correctly, (heart, lungs, kidney, etc.) This would preclude a victim from writhing in pain or terror.
Man, I know this series is based on the unimaginable, happening in the most improbable of circumstances, but the whole scene, short of Glen escaping, is a non-starter for me. A cheap manipulation if you will.
Remember, the theme of the night was stated by Michonne, "Until you have so much blood on you, that you don't know if it is walkers, yours, or your friends, you don't know!' (I think that is close.)
And if they really wanted Glenn to die, they wouldn't have started rumors last summer, about him dying, now would they have?
I watched it a couple times last night and don't recall a shot of Glen by himself. That's not what I recall at all.

He is going to use Nicolas' body like a tauntaun and slip inside while he waits for the herd to move on.
Trust in Jesus
Blood & Guts only works when its from Walkers.
He isn't dead. It doesn't need to make logical sense this episode. Hell it doesn't need to be logical at all. My guess is they will show more of the fall in the next episode, which will explain how its possible for him to escape.
They also mentioned that in the Talking Dead as being a possibility.
Personally (and I haven't read the comics) I would be kind of pissed if they cut his hand off. We've already been through that plot with Herschel's leg and while the scene itself will be powerful, the show will suffer as a whole.
