Ben Franklin loves the electrifying Irish offense.

When was an Owl's best attribute its defense?

I'm kinda curious if some of these Twitter handles are posters on IE, or if they're just lurkers.

I'm fairly convinced already that the owner of SportsCrack.com is an IE poster/lurker.

Fake Harry is indeed a poster here. I won't blow up his spot though.

Scranton is two and a half hours from Philadelphia and those people would all be Penn State fans.

That is a generality that could also be applied to Philadelphia, which would null 75% of the signs mentioned. It doesn't matter that most of them are PSU fans, what matters is the public perception thinking the Office>Scranton>Philadelphia Market (Even though the yankees and stealers are just as popular as the philly teams). The Office even makes many references to Philadelphia, especially the phillies throughout the series. Obviously they never mentioned Temple but almost no one ever does (Actually there are some references in Boardwalk Empire, but good luck with that.

Plus a lot of Scranton kids go to Temple, I should know I go there and see their Scranton and Lackawanna County hoodies all the time. Also IDk if this helps, but Notre Dame is the 2nd most popular Team in Scranton (according to this map i linked), so that adds a little bit more relevance to the references.

I'm actually from Scranton/Wyoming Valley. There are tons of Philly references in The Office. I can also confirm that there are tons of SWB kids down here in Philly.

Also, phillyirish is indeed right -- PSU is number 1 and ND is a very close 2 in NEPA. Temple isn't the top team anywhere (except maybe Philadelphia county).

Maybe, "Temple grads are unemployed since Dunder Mifflin shut Down"

Those are both awesome.

This is golden, and since its short it will be easily read by viewers.

Anything Dunder Mifflin or Paddy's Pub would be cool, more so with the latter.

Seriously, might just say F it and go with an Always Sunny quote. Wouldn't be relevant but just a sign saying "What is your Spaghetti Policy Here?" is still funny.

Maybe "Temple, the fourth most prestigious school in Philly" (Penn, Nova, Drexel)".

I'd put it 5th behind Saint Joes.

The plot thickens! Sounds like Fake Harry is stealing material and making it is own!

Stealing is harsh. I think it's cool that he uses IE's jokes. Wish I came up with some of them though and not Wiz/GK.

i wasn't gonna include the really small liberal arts schools, but yeah them too plus Bryn Mawr

Yea not counting the little schools, but Temple's moving up in the world. Now 115 in the US News and World Report. They have st joes ranked 15 regionally, whatever that means.

It means Temple is considered a national university and St. Joe's is considered a regional school. Example: I have a master's degree from Stetson University. It's ranked #5 in the southern region, but nobody outside of Florida has ever heard of it. I think it's based on percentage of students from out of state.

Saint Mary's used to be ranked #1 in the midwest region but they got bumped to "National Liberal Arts colleges."

saint joes has been in financial trouble so they had to lower admissions standards and give out more scholarships. Wouldn't surprise me if Temple was equal to SJU now.

My guess for the last segment: Corso appears on stage in the robe worn by Rocky Balboa but sheds it for his Leprechaun outfit and does another jig on stage...with Blackthorn (Irish rock group from Philly) playing on stage for him.

For anyone descending on Philly this weekend, please feel free to hit us up for good food/ bar spots. Philly (IMHO), is highly underrated for the food they have.

Not sure if this has been mentioned: I was hoping they would do the broadcast from the stadium because of all the room and how open the three lots are (Eagles, 76ers, Phillies). Not the case.

The only thing that will suck more than battling traffic into Center City for GameDay...will be parking in Center City.

I know it's popular, but I can't imagine my Philly Cheese Steak with Cheese Whiz.

Of course, I bastardize my sandwich when I go to Penn Station, I tell them to put everything on it (Everything in their list of items for a Philly), which includes Mayo, Mustard, and Pizza Sauce. Sounds disgusting, but it's delicious.

And that leads me to these ideas:

ND Will Put a Steak in Owls' Season

Gee Whiz, Temple Will Rhule Today (For Temple fans to use)

Honestly, Saturday morning traffic shouldn't be much off a problem, same for parking. Yea it'll be a b*tch going through all those traffic lights but nothing to stress out about. I know in Center City parking on a Sat, especially that early will be pretty open. However, being in Old City with all the historic tourist sh*t maybe parking is more of an issue with people bringing the family to see independence hall, the museums and sh*t.

Personally, I'm just gonna take the train then hop on the L and walk the block or two, pretty convenient.

My advice ... Take the subway in! Find parking at another spot on the line.
