Couple things.

Better hair? Max or ESB?

Don't hate me but am I the only one who gets the toolbag vibe from Schmidt?

Coach Gilmore is the man, if I was a DL recruit I'd want to play for him for sure.

Lastly, my favorite part of the show is probably the clips of Sanford going nuts in the box. Absolutely love it.

No. He annoys me now. Lots of it is do to poor performance, but that dislike for him playing has turned into me noticing how much he loves the camera and whether it's showtime or trick shot, always finds a way to dominate the conversations and be the center of attention. As Ron Weasley would say, he's really laying it on thick.

Word. He's a real G.

The deeper else get into the episodes and season the more my love for this team and staff grows! I enjoy watching their success and especially the coaching interactions with the players.

GO IRISH!

Every girl that I know that has met him thinks he is kind of a douche. So it probably isn't just you

Have to say I agree with this. I started noticing the attention thing in the trick shot Monday videos and the Showtime thing really convinced me.

Is it just me or does the team not even get pumped when he does the scream thing pregame? I think those things are great if they come naturally, but if you do it every week it's no longer motivational.

Idk, perhaps his play has made me look at him differently, too. But I don't get the "former walk on living his dream" vibe anymore.

I get the same vibe from Joe Schmidt. What's with the screaming?

Mine is more just in general terms, I'd like to see them get involved with more guys instead of just a select few. Now, I realize this is probably by design, in order to not get too many guys off task accept for the ones we believe can handle it, but I'd like to see different guys get some airtime.

I definitely think his teammates tune him out. As we saw with Cam McDaniel and Austin Collinsworth, it's hard to be a leader when you're not a good player.

I haven't watched many of them this year and this is why. The first few episodes were trick shots by Joe Schmidt.

But I am sure we will all buy the movie when we win the Natty this year and our former walk-on star gets his own version of Rudy.

I'm going to sound terrible here, but I find Joe's leadership to be super fake (or flakey at the very least). He's trying way too hard, just look at the scene "who do I need to go coach?"

Really? Coach?

He really carries around this, "I'm smarter than you vibe." I'd be dumbfounded if the players didn't find this to be douchey to one degree or another.

Also, how and why would any starter take Joe's "coaching" seriously?

Joe may very well be the worst starter on defense.

Everyone needs to chill the fuck out on these personality/leadership shots at Schmidt. Are you all fucking kidding me?

Critique his play, fine. It's awful. But about 90% of this crap is people projecting, and the 10% that isn't is still in bad taste.

Nah, I find Joe Schmidt's segments to be unwatchable at this point. I chalk it up to him being from southern California. Something about his charisma is just douchey. He's not the sort of teammate I would have responded well to in my youth.

When Morgan destroys plays next year it's really going to make us sick thinking of how scary it'd have been with him and Jaylon playing together. Bench the freshman All American for the microphone all American. Or at leaSt give him a shot.

What's the worst that could happen? A big run? We're already give g that up. What's the best that could happen? A MLB capable of TFL and forcing fumbles? Yeah, I'll roll that dice.

I noticed Schmidt and Tranquill ate at Corndance. Very nice. Maybe they'll let Joe take the sword of John Adams with him on the field to help secure the ball carrier :)

Not even the point, which you swung at and missed.... yet again.

What was your point? You didn't exactly make an unambiguous post. I'm guessing it's thaf BK over played an under achiever who was a favorite? Yeah, I get that perspective too. Sorry I didn't infer that from your crystal op.

Take your time. You are getting warmer. Still not there yet.

I loved seeing Bk enter the locker room at half time, give his speech and leave. Haha that was great.

Guys I'd like to see more of are Rochell, some more of the freshman (in a how are you getting acclimated sort of way), Torri Hunter Jr., and Trumbetti. I'd also like to see a little more on the coaches. Fairly fascinated with watching them interact, pretty cool stuff.

I think that we're making some fairly safe assumptions. As someone said before, the "Joe scream" does absolutely nothing for the team. Zero response. It's just the threshold of Joe's self gratifying leadership facade.

Show me the video where you see the team's reaction to his screams, cause everyone I've seen they cut it off right at the end of the scream without seeing the players reactions.
