During a quiet period, a college coach may only have face-to-face contact with college-bound student-athletes or their parents on the college’s campus. A coach may not watch student-athletes compete (unless a competition occurs on the college’s campus) or visit their high schools. Coaches may write or telephone college-bound student-athletes or their parents during this time.

What about telegraph?

PER WILTFONG-ND huge leader...he spoke w/ both parents and Khalid

Nice. Him and Daelin would greatly improve this class. Need some safety and MLB help and we have a few spots left over for "best available" type players. This gets me excited. Thanks for the info Panda.

Kareem and Hayes are guys that can step in and play right away. Looking at next year I think Romeo and Trumbetti are equal so Trumbetti will replace Romeo. We lose Day but gain Jones back. We will still have depth on the DL but both of these guys can step in and provide help at the DE position or LB. Nyles Morgan will replace JOE S. Losing Jaylon if he leaves will be a huge whole but some type of combination of Onuwala, Bilal, Morgan, Martini, will work. At Corner everyone will return with Russell probally leaving but he could use another year. At safety we lose Farley and Shumate but have enough young talent in this recruiting class that we should be fine. Plus Crawford comes back.

We just need a pass rushing end and we will be fine (plus new leadership)

I wasn't the biggest fan of this kid going into the season (thought he looked like a real good player, but not what the rankings and offers were saying about the kid), but he realeased a 7 game highlight reel from this season, and I must say, I'm impressed.

I now would be VERY excited to add this kid to the class. (And I think he stays and DE, and he has a better ability to pass rush than most on our roster.)

His stats over the last 1 1/2 seasons are insane. I'll try and find them again.

Thanks. So he's averaging roughly 2 sacks and 4 TFL's per game. I'd say he's relatively productive, lol.

Josh Hemboldt said that he expects this to get done soon. Doesn't expect them to take other OV's, even though Tennessee and Louisville have been trying.

For a kid that has decommitted twice, I like that he is taking his time, not making an impulse choice after a good trip.

At the same time, it is hard to get too excited until the ink is dry on a signed LOI.

Father admitted to 247 that they thought about committing this weekend and are leaning towards ND but they don't want to rush this last decision even though they need to do it as he's an EE. They are unsure if they take more visits or not at this point. I'd say until a visit happens we stay clear cut front runners.

If I had to guess, Kareem will be the next guy to commit. After you guys posted his stats over the past two seasons, at this point, I don't know if there is a more important prospect remaining on the board for us.

What about adding another WR or 3?

Top Priorities:

1) WRs
2) Strong Safeties

Low Priorities:

1) DTs
2) Rush ends
3) Free Safeties
4) LBs

I'm not disputing that we have other needs, but if Kareem's numbers correlate to what he could be in college as a potentially elite pass rusher, the dynamic that it brings is undeniable. Add him with Hayes and we could add another element to the defense that has been lacking since Tuitt and Shembo in 12'. I like the DL that we currently have, but until they start rotating them more, and getting vastly improved production, I will be worried against elite competition. With Day leaving, having someone to come in with at least comparable potential helps as well.
