I like to talk trash about how badly I would smash on fools if I ever did play them online....

Unless a story really interests me (ex, the last of us), I stick to my childhood games and COD (not a huge gamer).

So a game like Uncharted/Destiny/Fallen are games that I'd probably like, but never gave a shot. I see everyone saying Uncharted 4 is going to be the bee's knees.

Anyone played that series? Can you jump in and play any and enjoy, or do you need to go in order?

Uncharted is great... you can prob just jump in but it's better to do them in order.

I play zombies a lot, but I don't think I'll be getting BO3, it looks lame imo

I play zombie games quite a bit too, there's definitely an over-saturation of them on Steam right now. Seems like every week there's a new zed game, and a lot of them look like carbon-copies.

The new one just looks stupid imo... the best part about zombie mode was the simplicity of it, it was everything Resident Evil wasn't in that it was just classic zombie survival... every new addition jumps the shark a little more with each new edition of magic, crazy guns, jumping and flying zombies...

Now the vids I'm seeing for BO3 zombies have octo-monsters and things that aren't even zombies in them.... I'm good.

How does that wired mono headset work that comes with the ps4? Should I just buy a wireless one when I pick up my PS4, or does that headset actually work well for online chat/play?

I use it, it seems to work well. I don't know, it might just be a preference sort of thing but I don't mind it.

Been playing all the new sports games. Fifa, Madden, NHL, and NBA 2k. All are decent but none seem to blow me away. I usually do an online Madden Franchise but been waiting for my couple of buddies to get some free time. Only played it for maybe an hour or two and wasn't real impressed. I like Fifa management mode but player progression is so slow that makes the whole youth scouting and developing a national team very tedious and annoying; that was always one of my favorite aspects.

Also really psyched for Halo 5 later this month, probably my favorite series of all time.

FIFA pick two to three young guys (academy players) to focus on, train them every week... They grow FAST, had a guy go from 49 ovr to 65 ovr in one season... Mid way through the second season he's 68... That's a ton of growth

Your base starters will grow realistically on their own...

Yea thats what I've been doing. Then I try to loan them out when they get into the high 60's but no one ever takes them. I guess its probably better that I keep them anyway cause they'll grow more.

If you're on XB1, and you end up starting an online franchise, send me a PM when it's going down and I'll jump in (if you want an extra).

Star Wars Battlefront Beta came out today on X1. Played 3 games of Drop Zone which is basically a form of Headquarters from Call of Duty and played 1 game of the massive 20 v 20 AT-AT battle, that was fucking awesome! Got into an ATST and racked up 15 kills, felt a lot like the original Battlefront games. Very impressed and definitely sold so far after a couple of games.

I'm actually really amped about WWE2k16... it's hard to find games that Me, my wife, and daughters all like and can play together.. in the past WWE games are one of the few and this years game actually sounds like they made a ton of good improvements/additions... I'm def getting it and look forward creating an 'acamp family universe' where we each pick a wrestler and go....

I got just one thing to say to ya.... Do you Jabronis smeall what ACamp is cookin??

7% done with Metal Gear, Phantom Pain. Great game, but nothing will ever beat the PS1 Metal Gear, or the PS3 Snake Eater Metal Gear.

Know your role, and shut your mouth!

I used to religiously pick up the Smackdown games, starting with the first, and then through the Smackdown vs. Raw titles through 2009. That was about the time I pretty much stopped watching wrestling though as Shawn Michaels retired, it's definitely a new era now. My buddies and I loved playing those games though, and I thought about trying out WWE2k15 or WWE2k16 because they're made by a different company and have gotten good reviews from what I've seen. Let me know what you think if you end up getting it.

I'll watch with my oldest every now and then and if we watch my wife and youngest will join us at some point... It's not nearly as good as it was during the height of the Attitude Era with Rock, HHH and Stone Cold all at their peaks... (I watched that with my college buddies/girlfriends every freaking Monday and Thursday night, and my roommate and I would be the ones buying every PPV and hosting parties, good times)... but eh, like I said there isn't much all of us enjoy together, this goes for my friends too, WWE is like the ONLY thing ALL of us share together. Most are not sports fans...

I'm pre-ordering on Friday after work, no question. My oldest and I are pumped... I'm a Rock and Edge guy, she (of course and sadly) is a John Cena girl... my wife likes Randy Orton and Triple H... the rival thing works great with us...

I saw a video this morning showing the basic components of Universe mode, is looks so much better than 14 or 15... I have high expectations, at least so far as time with my family in that mode goes...

I'll def let you know what I think after a week or so...

You should have raised your daughter better than that...but I like your wife already.

I've never really been big on Randy Orton, tbh. I thought the Undertaker probably should have dropped his streak to Orton instead of Lesnar when Orton was the "Legend Killer." That would have helped him get over sooner as a heel, and he did eventually get over, but it took awhile. I just don't find him very entertaining.

I wasn't really a HHH fan either though when he started out, but he became a fantastic heel in his own right and I enjoyed the DX stuff when he took breaks from being the bad guy. Can't really beat the Rock on the mic though, he's been pretty damn good going back to his days in the "Nation." I never thought he worked well as a heel, he just has too much Charisma and is too likable.

He was the greatest heel ever imo for that reason... I got back into wrestling for the first time after my childhood in the late 90's during the build up for Summer Slam 98... everyone was all on the DX train, hyping HHH and I was looking at this new guy everyone hated named The Rock... he was SO MUCH BETTER than HHH imo... and that ladder match at summer slam had the single greatest build up for a PPV ever imo... it got me back into wrestling big time.

Rock was a great heel because he was so likable, he left the ladder match at Summer Slam with people chanting his freakin name, as the biggest heel in WWF at the time... when the hell does that ever happen? Then they rode that momentum to his Survivor Series win where he flipped BACK to a heel and the Corporate Champ... it was just the best. You know who else made a fan-freakin-tastic heel.... Kurt Angle. Angle, Piper and Rock... that's my Mt. Rushmore of heels... Rock vs Stone Cold and Mankind when Rock was heel was the greatest era in WWF history for me... and right after that Angle stepped in and took the bad guy role and did so wonderfully. I rarely root for/enjoy the heels but I was all about them when it was Rock and Angle. The dumbest hell flip ever imo was Stone Cold... just shock value for the sake of... he should have never become a heel, not after the aura he built up with that character...

Ahhh, disagree. As a heel I don't think Rock really worked for that reason, the fans liked him too much. He had this undeniable charisma, people couldn't "hate" him because he was too damn entertaining and likable. Didn't mean he wasn't a fantastic character, he's one of my favorites for sure. I just don't think he really worked as a heel in the traditional sense.

Example:
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Ztwfe5vgPgQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

The fans are laughing at the Rock's jokes more than booing him, the only way he could get any cheap heat was insulting the hometown crowd. Even when he's insulting the Hurricane, who was a face at the time, the crowd is enjoying it. It was genuinely funny stuff, but you couldn't really dislike the guy because he was too damn good. It was just an odd dynamic.

Who would be your fav heel then? Aside from Rock and a couple others they are all exact carbon copies of one another...

Takers def other level too... at everything. I will say this though, Rock took the lead heel spot right from Taker in the late 90's... shoved it straight up his candy ass.

The Rock definitely always had better mic skills, but Taker was in way more memorable matches.

Eye of the beholder then I guess. I only really remember a few matches of Takers', a couple of the streak matches, the highway to hell match against Austin and then any time he lost to The Rock...

You don't have to dislike the heel.

Typically a heel is the "Bad guy" that is supposed to be drawing boos/jeers from the crowd. They should have a lot of heat to compliment a face, making the face more likable. It's an odd dynamic I think when the heel is drawing cheers and laughs from the crowd, don't you think? Don't get me wrong, I'm not criticizing the Rock or anything, I was and still am a big fan (I went to see Doom and the Scorpion King movies, if that says enough). I think it was just hard to take him as a heel because I still found him likable as a character which is kind of the opposite of what a heel's role is.

As far as my favorite heels, The Million Dollar Man Ted Debiase is up there. Undertaker in the late 90s was good, he made it work despite previously being a favorite. Edge got good heat. Mr. Perfect. Ric Flair. HHH. Jericho. Macho Man /w Scary Sherri. Jake the Snake. Bobby Heenan. Piper. When I think of great heels, I think of those guys. Certainly some of them evolved into faces later in their careers as they got older, or much older in the case of Flair, but most of those guys played heels for most of their careers and were very good at it. When I think of great heels I don't think of the Rock, I think of one of the greatest baby faces of all time.

I know that's what the heel is typically, but I guess that's why I hold Rock so high as a heel, he broke the mold. There have been some great ones, Flair was great, I mentioned Piper, Jericho was a great heel too. To me all the others just did what all the others did...
Rock actually took that and split the crowd which I thought was awesome. I loved that he got you to root for the bad guy, or at least not mind him nearly as much. Rock's bad guy to Stone Cold's good guy was as good as it ever got. My fav Rock was the Corporate Champ era Rock... he took the heel role to a whole different level rather than just doing the same thing with a different face for the 100th time. Just my thoughts. As I stated earlier I also loved Kurt Angle's initial heel run too... I loved it when the mold of 'now that's he's heel he can't win without cheating and suddenly forgot all his wrestling skills' was broken by those two... that's the lamest aspect of being a heel imo, and it's a component of almost all of them, I thought it was lame and played out then, it certainly is now. I'll say it again, the heel turn that never fit to me was Stone Cold... that was just dumb.
