So let's get a genral consensus right now. Would everyone agree that ND was not competitive in this game?

In my opinion, we were competitive in the 1st half, that's it.

I am trying to avoid the revisionist history we often see in the forum. After we lose by
20+ points there will be guys explaining away how we were actually close to winning and how we didn't really get dominated.

it's very obvious, we are not in the same league as top ten teams.

We played a good first half, outside of a few crappy calls. Giving up a 60+ drive with 1 minute in the first half was a killer. I'm not making excuses, I'm just sick as hell of getting smoked by every top 10 team. Its always the same.....Russell has his first rushing TD, longest pass of the year, and most passing yards of the year. D looked good for awhile. Same old story though, out of position, big plays. Ugh.

We make every teams QB look like Joe Montana.

Our Irish played a little less than 1 good quarter.

Q1...Dominatyed by LSU

Q2...Irish dominated but then gave up the big play late

Q3...LSY dominated

Yeah you guys got us....you guys are having a good solid season and the MVC is a really tough conference, maybe better then the Big Ten....too bad the little guys don't get any attention.

Even thought I'm alum, I support the Hoosiers. Although, they man handled Purdue the other night. I thought IU should have won last night. I do't like blaming things on refs, but come on. There were some ticky tack fouls called last night on the Hoosiers.

it always comes down to our secondary not being able to stop a pass. every time lsu has gotten into 3rd and long they threw for 30+ yard pass plays. i am so tired of this happening every year. PLEASE get some tough corners that can cover somebody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

In my opinion, USC 2005 is the only game the Irish played up to their potential. This is the exact same team you saw last year. OSU waxed us last year in Janaury, this year it's LSU's turn.

This game is going to hurt us like you wouldn't believe. Watch the haters after this one. I am absolutely demoralized from this game. I mean it's down right painful. I can see it now in the future, ND ending a season at 10-2 and will be so lowly rated in the polls that there will be no BCS invite. Because of this game and 9 bowl losses in a row, if ND does not dominate in big games in the future, none of us will have to worry about Rose or Fiesta Bowls for a while. This is my worst night in a long time. I'm devastated.

I'm not sweating the haters. I wanted to at least make this a good game for those recruits sitting on the fence. That is much much worse. We were embarassed AGAIN. For those of that think it don't matter with recruits, YOUR"E WRONG. These kids watch these games and don't want to be a part of this.

i don't think i'm going to watch them lol. the best thing is just to put this game and alot of this season away forever. you can't forget certain moments and certain players from this season, but you can forgot everything else and just look forward to next year even if next year is an uncertain one.
