I can't believe what I've read on here over the last 15 minutes in a few threads. I don't post here very often. In fact, I don't even lurk here much. Have some faith in the team you say you love and the team you say you live for.

The fact is, we won. Kizer went 8/12 and had a pretty damn ridiculous game-winning pass, especially for a heck of a baptism by fire. 80 yard, 13 play drive and converting on 4th down to keep the drive going? Where's everyone's fire? Were you not going nuts when Fuller scored, or were you sitting there moping about what hasn't even happened yet? Grow up and take the lumps. Kizer has a great load of talent around him. If Tommy Rees could get us through games in 2012 on numerous occasions, so can DeShone. I might as well post this in a few threads.

We're the Fighting Irish, not the Crying Irish.

Well f***ing said sir, well f***ing said.

Malik's injury is a terrible blow, but in hindsight I would rather it happens right now then let's say if we were 7-0 (later in the season). Kizer is good enough for us to win the majority of our game. I'm quite anxious to see who will step up.

I'm not on the "Zaire is out, we're winning 6 games" bandwagon. I love MZ and think he has a lot of potential but lets be honest, the dude has only started 3 games. I don't understand why people don't think we can't run the same offense through Kizer? The kid is pretty mobile himself. I'll grant that he might not be as mobile as MZ.

What worries me is watching our secondary get torched by another 3rd tier QB with a weak arm. I'm also troubled by both lines getting pushed around at times by the likes of Virgina. Those two things, if left unchecked, will ruin our season faster than Kizer being our QB.

No way, Jose. If we were 7-0, that would mean that we had already beat GT, Clemson and USC. The only team worth a damn after that is Stanford. We would be playoff bound.

That makes sense. 7-0 was just a number I guess. My point is that we can still regroup this early in the season and rally behind what looks like a very capable Kizer.

Yep. This. We can win ten games with Kizer and Prosise in place of Zaire and Folston. But we won't win more than eight games if our defense plays like they did for much of yesterday.

The offense Imo will be OK. Great o-line, good running backs and ok wide receivers/ tight ends. As long as the play calling is good we will do pretty good. The defense wasn't good. And returning all these starters it doesn't look much better against an account k offense.
