Your are 100% right. He is a typical SC pocket passer while Matt Fink is not. I just wonder if the kid is an Irish fan. SO many of the kids out here are. I heard an interesting story about a big time QB out here last year that verbaled as a PWO to Georgia after it was thought that he was going to ND. Word is he might be going to ND after all. I'm going to post a profile to see if anyone heard about this.

.

think this is Nick Robinson?
Q&A With Bulldog QB Commit Nick Robinson - Dawg Sports

Kid had an offer from FAU. UGA fans were very happy to get him.

Yeah that's him. He actually had 2 CB's to ND including Loy. Finished 2nd in the country among qualifiers (or maybe just big time programs) to Wimbush with a 70% completion percentage. Was the co-MVP in the Trinity League with Rosen.... above Costello and eveyone else, too many to list. I heard he may be wanting to go elsewhere and he was set on ND but they didn't hash out the PWO in time and he went UGA. ND took the Regan kid from Hinsdale IL (maybe to help with getting teammate King???) so I don't know if any of this is true or not. Just heard a rumor based on a rumor but they tend to be true with the guys I'm hearing it from. We'll see.

Something tells me Riley is going to do very well at Nebraska. He's got connections out West and in Texas and he's been at a school his whole career where he has had to find 2-star and 3-star talent.

True. And it's certainly harder to win in the B1G now than it was a few years ago with the coaching upgrades. The West division of the B1G is a joke though, so I could see them stringing together a 1-loss season and essentially a play-in game in the B1G Championship the next couple years if he can recruit well. I think Riley is definitely an ugrade from Pelini who was always able to get them 9 wins.

Their schedule this year (which I'm jealous of) is pretty easy to navigate:

vs. BYU
vs. Southern Alabama
at Miami
vs. Southern Miss
at Illinois
vs. Wisconsin
at Minnesota
vs. Northwestern
at Purdue
vs. Michigan State
at Rutgers
BYE
vs. Iowa

I would have no problem predicting ND at 12-0 against that schedule haha.

Maybe 11-1.

So I am guessing O'Brien doesn't know the context of the scripture he quoted. Just odd to quote that particular one when he is actually transferring. Anyways... good luck to the young man.

would have fit if he had planned on staying there for the next 70 years
