Another member of Bishop Gorman's loaded 2017 class. He has shot up the rankings this summer after the 7v7 events. He's at BG and he's a 6-3 safety...so ND is interested.

Who is it around here that keeps saying BG is an ND pipeline?

They produce like 6 D1 guys a year and you really think they are all going to end up at ND? It's never been a pipeline we recruit well there but other schools will get players out of that school. It's pretty clear Bubba always wanted to play for USC

Cass Tech was that for Michigan. Mater Dei or Junipero Serra for USC. Those are pipelines.

Haha, he doesn't even have an ND offer. What are you talking about? ND has landed and will land a majority of the prospects they've offered from BG for the last few cycles. I'd consider that a pipeline. Sorry we aren't getting commits from guys that don't have offers, lol.

Then it's a 'shared pipeline' with the likes of USC, TAMU, Oklahoma and any program in the country. Just seems like a school that has more talent than anyone else and I can't really see how pulling 2 top kids when there have been a dozen shores it up for ND. Granted there is Haskins in '17 but there are at least 3 other 4 star players that don't look like they'll be suiting up for ND.

Repeat after me, "he doesn't have an ND offer"

Try it one more time, "he doesn't have an ND offer"

Not that difficult to understand, right?

He doesn't that we know of but it's clear ND was aware of a 4 star safety at BG. They were sending him mail. He may have never seriously considered ND. Like other top players from BG will never seriously consider ND. A few will and that's good enough for me and pretty much anyone else. It's just not a pipeline. Unless you consider IMG is a pipeline now....

Those 3 other kids (Bolden, Martell, Lindsey) do not have offers from Notre Dame. Like Lucci said, its hard for these kids to commit to Notre Dame when they don't have an offer

And out of the 4 players from Gorman, Garrett is the most important because QB and WR aren't, at least IMO, that important for the 2017 class. D-line recruiting is tough for ND and should be addressed every year

Wow, I'm going to sign off here because you're really having a tough time with this. I hope not everything is this difficult.

BG is an ND friendly school. They should recruit there every cycle. It's just not a pipeline. Lindsey, Martell, and Bolden didn't want to go to ND. It's not that big of a deal. Those other schools carry equal weight at BG when compared to ND. There's enough talent to go around.

Not every kid on their roster with D1 offers is gonna come to Notre Dame. I guess nobody thought they had to point that out.

That's what a pipeline is.

So according to your logic, a pipeline is every high school player on the same team with a D1 offer will all go the same school. Following that logic, pipelines do not exist and never have.

Do you know how many players Notre Dame sends mail to but never offer? Just because they send him a piece of mail doesn't mean he is on top of their board

Then by your ridiculous and incomprehensible logic, Serra isn't for USC either because Khalil Tate and most likely Brandon Burton won't be going there, right? Or does that sound stupid because they didn't even offer Tate?

Kyle Penniston was a 4* TE from Mater Dei last year. He signed with Wisconsin so apparently we can remove the "pipeline tag"

As a matter of fact, his teammate, defensive tackle Olive Sagapolu also signed with Wisconsin. Should we put the "pipeline tag" there instead?

Stanley Norman was an athlete out of Junipero Serra that signed with ASU last year so remove the "pipeline tag"

This is just a quick scroll through the 2015 class out of Cali. There's more, a lot more from 2015 alone.

Not every kid from a "pipeline highschool" will sign to play for the same college. That doesn't even make sense especially when you're talking about schools that turn out a bunch of D1/FBS talent.

A pipeline is when 'college x' offers a player at a school and are instantly viewed as the team to beat based on the sole fact of the high school that player attends.

Not every kid has to sign with ND. But when SC offers a kid at Serra the basic assumption is he is an SC lean because there is a history of that specific high school funneling it's top talent into the Trojan program. It doesn't happen all of the time but a majority of those kids will end up there until SC shots the bed and goes into a drought. ND has landed 3 kids from BG. One may be considered a throw in a la Roby Toma. There's hardly a history of sustained recruiting success there.

By that same logic, USC offered Thomas Duarte of Mater Dei and his parents would not even let him take an official visit; thus Mater Dei not being a USC pipeline. lol
