This song never ceases to blow me away. It takes me back to the summer of '71. My first summer break atND. I was with a few high school classmates (I think I might even have been driving) on a short road trip to check on their "weed patch" hidden in the Ocala National Forest. We played this over and over and over again. I believe that some smoldering herbage was involved.
The "farm" turned out to be three remaining sad, scrawny, sickly, sorry-ass plants they'd germinated from the seeds cleaned from a "lid."
There wasn't a dry eye among us --- we were laughing our asses off and heading home to more Layla!
