I figured we couldn't play two ugly halves in a row. We've played at Butler's tempo most of the game. ND isn't exactly a team that wins ugly. We're kind of a soft team. Lots of slash and kick outs for 3s. Very few 3s today.

These announcers are ridiculous. Jackson gets the call Jones has gotten all game and it's suddenly "questionable"... broadcast crew is composed of an anti-ND, anti-Catholic bigot who got forced out of ESPN and two morons. Great job CBS.

In middle school I took it upon myself to email a handful of college coaches (cringe) and the only one who took the time to reply was Mike Brey. I will always be a fan of his for that. I'm hoping he can get us where we should be in this tournament.

This. We're shooting 35%. We've had plenty of open 3s, yet are hitting less than 25%. This isn't exactly the way ND won games this year. I was very content to be up at the half th way the first half looked.

I feel that way too often people don't acknowledge the fact that coaches can improve. I'll agree that after ~20 years of collegiate coaching, their tendencies don't tend to change. But a part of me very badly wants to believe that Brey has improved and that this type of success will become more common. Granted, I haven't seen too much of ND this year, but from what I have, the team looks beyond any other ND teams I've seen.

I think we will turn it around here, and hoping we can be pleasantly surprised

He can come up with great game plans, provided he knows the opponent well. He's done wonders in the regular season with much less talented teams than this one. Unfortunately, he's just terrible in the tournament against teams he hasn't played against before.

I know this game is obviously very Indiana, but it is also very local to me. Connaughton is from the next town over from me, and Chrabascz is from the next town over from where I grew up. Bonzie Colson also went to HS in the town on the other side of where I grew up, but he hasn't been much of a factor.
