Jerome Bettis was in my section and left mid way through overtime. Like wtf man

He came up to my box and watched the rest of the game. Had I known another IE guy was in the crowd, I probably still wouldn't have invited you. No italics.

Well, maybe

Great win for the program last night. Especially given the situation with coach. Would have liked to have seen us take control of the pace a little more but players made plays. Pat C was clutch and vasturia was great too. DJ continues to really impress and has come into his own over the last month. I'd like to see him be more aggressive and hunt his shot some more but he has been really good. I was also glad to see the emotion coming out of him after the Auguste double dribble. That's the kind of fire that I love to see.

Only two of them are real players...

I mean at this point.

It'll be interesting to see if KU can get out of this one alive. I'd rather play them honestly. They are SUCH an overrated team. Their SOS has been hyped up terribly. Meanwhile, ND has beaten 4 teams that are in the Sweet 16 with the possibility of a 5th (Duke, UNC, NC State, Michigan State and Louisville pending).

Brey's ability to coach this game well and keep his focus on the game and his players amazes me. And I'll never forget that block by Connaughton.

Brey - "I've been smiling all day" first words to the team when we all now know he started the day finding out about his mom passing away. Knowing now how competitive she was, it looks like he honored her the best way he could.

What a game, couldn't get to sleep after the game but well worth it.

Disagree. Danny Ainge drove the length of the floor and hit a layup to beat us in 2.9 seconds.

HA! Zach Auguste is no Danny Ainge. The fact I have to point this out is pretty amazing. If Grant or DJ had taken that rebound then you have a point.

This kind of epitomizes the problem with college basketball. With so many time outs, they only think play-to-play and little context. I'm sure the plan was to run and gun with a board b/c we didn't want Butler to set up their defense. Well the caveat should have been Auguste. If he gets the board it should be look for a quick outlet pass and call a TO if it isn't there. Absolutely ridiculous to think he should be putting the ball on the floor AT ALL. All four of the others have the skills to make a push but ZA is asking for trouble. No slight on him, he is a big and that is his role.

Cut the teams down to 2 TOs per half and make them more valuable. It would give heady players like Steve Vasturia a leg up to take the crutch of TOs away from the athlete first types. 5 per half is asinine.

Ainge didn't hit a layup. He hit a tough floater over the outstretched arm of Orlando Woolridge.
