Everyone should've seen this coming. OT win over NCSt after being down by 18 and then a huuuuuge win over Duke & the #1 player in America. Follow that up w/ a down Pitt team at Pitt? Helen Keller woud've seen this upset coming. Learn from it. Get better at FTs. Blow out BC on Wed.

I think we need a few eye opening blowouts to get some more street cred in the rankings/seeding. Beating BC something like 90-65 would be a good place to start. At some point you have to lay some wood on some opponents to be feared, right now nobody is scared of us.

Brey is the antithesis of Cobra Kai.

I agree. We dont look like a scary team at all but we are getting it done. Defense has to step up. Lunardi has us a 3 seed in his new bracketology

More blowouts would be nice but we beat FSU by 20 points, Purdue by 31 and Va Tech by 25. All big time conference teams, 2 of the 3 with wins over ranked opponents and Va Tech taking Virginia down to the wire. Not to mention all the scrub teams we destroyed to start the year. The only team we've really struggled with that we shouldn't have is Ga Tech and one of those games was played without our only guy who can score in the post. I think we'll have a few more blowout wins but it's hard to destroy anyone in the ACC. Pretty much the deepest conference in college basketball.

We have BC twice who we should beat handily and Clemson who is mediocre. Also Wake Forest who isn't that great this year...but you never know with conference play. Hopefully we smoke a couple of those teams cuz we probably wont smoke Duke, Syracuse or Louisville.

I think we just need to finish the year out with 2 or less losses and make a good ACC tourney run (semifinals at least) and we'll be fine from an eye test and confidence standpoint heading into the NCAA tourney.

"What have you done for me lately" is a big deal in the eyes of committees (see FBB playoffs). I agree with you overall but if we don't lay some wood on some of these lesser teams late in the season we are setting our selves up for a disappointing seed. Duke and Louisville are the last chances we have at signature wins, dropping both and then losing first game of the ACC tourney would look pretty bad and we could see ourselves in a dreaded 5 seed pretty quick.

I think anything less than an ACC semi-final appearance is a disappointment given the top 4 teams don't have to play the first two days (and we damn well better finish in the top 4). Conference tourney champs have huge momentum going into the NCAAs, rightfully so. Putting back-to-back-to-back wins against quality opponents with it all on the line deserves respect regardless of how you do it.

Off to a great start against BC. up 24-7 with 11 minutes to play in the half. Connaughton has 10 points already.

Te'von is front row to the right behind the basket. Wearing a green jersey. Almost positive it was him.

Edit: wasn't him

Hopefully the energy that was there in the first half shows up on Saturday. Second half team will get blown out at Cameron.

If GT can keep it close with duke we better do the same or better. Second half team was an embarrassment. Including we were at home and almost blew a 25 pt lead wow. A wins a win but I was hoping for a blowout for some momentum for Saturday

Ugh, refs missed the travel on Okafor and then missed a clear foul on Jackson by Okafor. Refs are certainly not helping us today :(
