That's pretty shitty of BK. I don't know if there's any way to downplay it other than to say that the closer he is to NFL personnel, the better that is for our recruits in general.

Hopefully there is good reason behind Brian Kelly missing out on this, but it isn't looking so. Ultimately, he is the one that has to win with what is on the roster. If we continue to have horrible depth at the safety position, and it is a contributing factor losses during the season, than I will not be backing Kelly up on this.

Up until this point the depth issues have been overlooked because of "unforeseen" circumstances, whether it be transfers or ineligible players. This one will land straight on Kelly if it comes back to bite us.

I don't think his goal is just to be close to NFL personnel, it's to BECOME NFL personnel.

It's all about effort and Meyer simply outworks/cares more than Kelly, don't see how anyone can argue that. It's unbelievable to me that it's the weekend before signing day and we have a recruit on site that is a position of great need and he isn't there. To top it off we were suppose to have a junior day but he would rather go kiss the patriots ass, it's very disappointing. Can't imagine Meyer or Saban doing something like that, oh and we are losing our secondary coach but no biggie enjoy the Super Bowl coach

Flew home at 6am to avoid the snow, per rivals. Or was pissed off BK didn't care to be on his visit, so said F this, who knows.

Don't understand how a kid can go from wanting to go to Stanford to Wisconsin. Like polar opposites.

Farrar has made it known that he's serious about academics so he knows he can get a quality degree at whichever school he chooses.

Outside of football, Madison is 100,000 times a funner place to live than South Bend. And Madison is a very good school too.

And what living in South Bend Indiana is so much better?

I would much rather live in Madison then South Bend every day of the week. Madison is a fun ass place
Yeah but you have to deal with Wisconsin people. That's a deal breaker for me.

Madison is literally on a whole different planet compared to South Bend. One of my favorite Midwest towns

So does any one know when BK officially left South Bend? I can't imagine him not being there to close a key recruit

Two weeks ago. The staff had nothing to do with planning and/or recruiting this visit, it was actually a reward points package from Farrar's mom's Visa. If he commits to Notre Dame it's just a lucky coincidence.

I'm a huge Kelly supporter, but I might be exiting the bus if it turns out he chose the Super Bowl over being on campus for a key recruitment. Any chance he spent time with Farrar earlier in the trip?

He was there for the in-home visit.

Which has nothing to do with the official visit. He may have secured the visit, but this kid should be getting red carpet treatment considering the situation at the position and it's hard to do that without the HC. So question stands- does anyone know if he was there for the early part of the visit?

Farrar and his mother left early this morning to beat bad weather. They probably left before Kelly headed out to Arizona.

And yes, I would assume Kelly was on campus for the rest of Farrar's vist.
