See this is one of my issues with the NFL. 4th and 1? Better kick the field goal. The college nc was all like, 4th and 8 from the 50? Better go for it. Playing not to lose instead of playing to win.
I think that's coaching style more than any specific NFL versus College trend.

If I'm McCarthy, I give Lacy the ball 75 times today, and get liposuction......

ZERO discipline from the entire Seahawks team. When I heard "most penalized team in the NFL," I assumed it was due to aggressive defense, not completely boneheaded mistakes.

Clinton-Dix balling out. I will now shed more tears the Bears passed on him.....

Raise your hand if you had GB in a romp.

If they converted on their early red zone trips this game would already be over. As it is, Seattle is hanging by a thread.

Bullshit penalty. Wilson was going to make the tackle and Matthews hit him in the front.

Wow that was timely for the Seahawks. As in control as GB feels right now, I would be concerned that these squandered chances might come back to haunt them.

Mathews will be fined.

Additionally they'll suspend him for the hit on Wilson for the Super Bowl.

I feel like Seattle could really use Percy Harvin in this type of game. They were fine without him in the regular season but they have no threat for a big play at all, and Harvin could give you a big play in a number of ways: in the kicking game, as a receiver, out of the backfield...he is a good weapon for gadget-type plays that you can go to when your offense needs a jolt.

My dumb rant of the day: These domestic violence ads piss me off... I guess the ends justify the means but all these actors pretending to cry altogether is so disingenuous, I feel it insults the public's intelligence. Just talk domestic violence without acting like all of Hollywood cries over it all in the same fashion.

Especially when we, the audience, aren't the ones beating our wives. That would be the NFL players and celebrities.

LMFAO I wonder if those are actually meant to be tongue in cheek. They're absurd.

Agreed. It feels very disingenuous and ruins any potential impact.

I wish this were true to an extent.

But every shift i go to work we have multiple domestic adults. Yes it comes from both sides. And if I had to guess it would be probably close to 75% to 25% male vs female as the aggressor. My point is this that this is a bigger issue then a lot realize.

Are we talking about different commercials? Matthew McConaughey advertises for Lincoln and I haven't seen any of those ads this game.

That's fair. But I doubt there's a single abuser out there who sees that commercial and decides not to beat up his wife.
