IMO he is a very good back. He explodes through the holes made for him. Has very good vision. Even saw a few power runs. I think he cold put on a little more muscle. I think he would be a very nice piece to the 2015 class.

Per TV, we have a legitimate shot for Dexter. A&M is surging and UF/UL are also in the mix.

Ryan Bartow of 247 spoke with a coach at Dexters HS and he said that UL leads for Dexter but the Irish are firmly in his top 2 behind them. Jalen and Dexter would like to play with each other at the next level and UL leads for him as well, heading into this weekend. Although Julius is visiting Loy doesn't think we offer or push for him. He's been saying this quite adamantly over the last day or two.

Dexter, ESB, Alize, and Farrar would be a fantastic way to finish this class with how we ended the regular season.

Seems like a lot of overlap with UL this year...

Is losing dexter (or a rb altogether) worth not offering a DB?

Yeah, seems like killing two birds with one stone. Both are visiting at the same time. I think we could very easily end up landing Dexter regardless with a visit, but regardless, we are definitely not full on safeties right now.

Of course, Julius' film doesn't show much of him playing DB, so I guess the coaches are looking at others right now. Hopefully that means they're confident in landing Fararr or Williamson, and/or they're confident PmK will be eligible.

Would they take Cronkite and Williams?

I don't know as I briefly looked over at their board the other day but couldn't find anything of substance on this. However, just by looking at their numbers they have less than 10 total commits so it wouldn't surprise me if they were willing to take both considering they have a lot of space available.

Per Anna and Jake, UF has room for 2 and they believe UF wants Cronkrite over Williams (Scarlett is tops). Williams has an OV to A&M Jan 23

So I knew that he was the top of the board but do they think he's a realistic option? I guess I was operating under the assumption that they don't get Scarlett and would be able to take both.

As always with prospects from the south or west coast the parents signing off on them making a decision without them in attendance is a pretty significant step. Well per Wiltfong Dexter's parents have signed off on him committing to ND on his visit if he likes it enough. Also, Jalen and Dexter aren't necessarily a package deal.

Nice.

Not going to raise a fuss if we take Vaughn before Williams decides, but I really, really hope Williams is our other back in this class.

I feel the same, Wiltfong seems pretty optimistic that we make a big impression with Dexter this weekend. I guess we'll just have to see.

This is good news because Willliams to me especially after watching his senior year highlights seems to be a real asset at runningback. He seems to be shifty and catch the ball out of the backfield. He also seems really explosive.

I also like him as a better prospect than Vaughn. I would not be disappointed with either one but I feel as though Williams not only has better upside, but would be able to hit home runs immediately.

Yep. Soso > Williams > everyone else

I'd be happy to just have another RB but if we are going to be exacting in our wants, Williams tops the available options for me.
