Kelly said “we haven’t given up on them” on Redfield and Shumate, but practice consistency has not shown up to warrant putting them in.
"Max and Elijah are not on the field, not just because of mental mistakes, but there are production lapses as well.”- Brian Kelly
...weird.
We must be watching a different game than him.
Yeah he watches practice and you don't.

It doesn't matter what happens in practice if it doesn't translate into games.
That's incorrect. If someone shows up to practice and just goes through the motions and or is unwilling to put in the time in the film room ect... and still gets the start that attitude begins to carry over to the entire team. By the way it has carried over into games with both Redfield and Shumate prior to them getting demoted. Neither of them were playing up to their rankings coming out of high school.
Frankly, it seems more a personality conflict. Some people by nature have a laid back approach to things. I admit that it is hard to distinguish between apathy and laid back nature. If they are such cancers, then kicked them off the team. These mind games often do more harm than good.
Wasn't Jarron accused of being apathetic? He only played because we had no one else.

I agree with this. Kelly is trying to build a team the correct way and not let the inmates run the asylum. That happened to Urban at the end of his Florida stint. All the 5 stars in the world, but no control over the team.

Broken rib?
Further testing tomorrow to ensure no organ damage?

When it rains, it <strike>pours</strike> turns into a category 6 typhoon
He had 14 Tkls and 10 solo. If you look at the stat sheet he had a nice game but if you watched the game I think you'd feel differently.
I'm really hoping he turns it around. His recognition skills/awareness just don't seem to jive with his athletic ability yet. Next year is his Junior year and I'm hoping its his coming out party.
and 5
players seem to develop so much more slowly than those at football factories. Are the schemes too complicated? Do our academic requirements leave too little time for our players to study the game? Perhaps it's some combination of the two.He was basically a RS Freshman in 2014. So I wouldn't be surprised if he makes major strides this off-season and starts to live up to his hype next season.
But who knows? Our 4and 5
players seem to develop so much more slowly than those at football factories. Are the schemes too complicated? Do our academic requirements leave too little time for our players to study the game? Perhaps it's some combination of the two.
