All things equal, does anyone prefer this kid over Barnett? I'm on the fence. I think he's that good.

TheOneWhoKnocks, what do you think? :)

Something doesn't jive with Barnett, Koon. I know he's performed well at Elite 11 type camps but I saw him play against KJ Costello last month and Costello looked like twice the QB that night. I thought Barnett would be able to at least create with his legs but he couldn't. On top of that, he chose to stay at Corona Santiago which plays a weak schedule for the LA/OC/IE area instead of going to a Trinity League Catholic school where he would have been pushed every night. He may be the second coming but I have a bad vibe regarding him. Time will tell. Wimbush wins by default with me.

I recall not being thrilled with Barnetts out route arm strength. Maybe it was throwing motion but I got tebowish feelings, was awhile ago that I watched. I was an overall fan, my limited viewing of wimbush film tells me barnett was a better BK fit. I just havent watched wimbush enough. Stidham is the qb id take over all 15 n 16. My vibe seems to always be diff after watching films multiple times. For instance I got a leak vibe from henry(good thing). However going back over I wasnt really seeing the similarities. I do like Henry and if wimbush commit is reason he doesn't come. I think its a loss for ND. I get that kelly couldnt risk it tho.

I REALLY liked Stidham's film as soon as his name came up, but he just had his throwing hand surgically repaired, and I don't think he was ever really in play for us. I personally don't see anything to really worry about in Wimbush's reel, and he's excelling against elite competition so I'm excited about the pickup.

None of the programs recruiting Henry are lacking at the QB position right now so I'd be surprised if Wimbush impacted him. To me, his commitment is all positive for us.

Led by four-star quarterback Brandon Wimbush, Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peters Prep clinched its 15th straight county championship with a 69-0 win over North Bergen (N.J.) High School.

The Notre Dame commit completed 10-of-13 passes for 281 yards and two touchdowns in the win, while adding a 45-yard touchdown rush in one half of play.

Through eight games this season, the 6-2, 205-pound recruit has thrown 24 touchdowns and only one interception, while completing 113-of-148 passes for 2,066 yards. That puts his completion percentage at 76.3. He's chasing the all-time national high school record for completion percentage of 75.2. However, due to the fact that he has to have a minimum of 275 attempts, it's not likely that he will achieve the honor by season's end.

Per the 247Sports Composite, Wimbush is the No. 63 overall player in the nation, the No. 4 dual-threat quarterback in the country and the No. 2 prospect in New Jersey from the class of 2015.

He's pretty good ;). Sincerely think he's a NC type QB, just seems to have it.

Kid looks confident, athletic and has a cannon for an arm. We'll coach him out of that in a couple of years. I kid, I kid...

Can we wait until he gets on the field with college defense's before we hand him the NC trophy?

Of course but the key word was type. Didn't annoint him anything. By watching and reading as much as I have about this kid he's the real deal. Does he progress? and if so what does that look like? No way of knowing but I have a hard believing the foundation isn't there right now.

I hope he is as good as advertised we all could use some QB relief!

For someone who may end up as a 5-star QB I feel his hype coming in is much less than Barnett's when he initially signed. I'm excited for his career!

Jersey QB versus Cali QB...........they have a much longer history. I am excited for Wimbush, kid has some skills.
