The superhero bubble is going to burst in 2017. Ten major films? That's absurd.
Plus there are 6 without dates yet at the bottom of the chart

I have adjusted my retirement allocations to accommodate this schedule. Yeehaw. Marvel can take my money! The superhero bubble is going to burst in 2017. Ten major films? That's absurd.

That's exactly how I feel and it's probably why I don't perceive the film slate as saturated. I can't wait for the next Marvel Cinematic Universe film at any given time and don't much bother with the rest.Gonna be honest with you guys. I've got no interest in anything outside of the Marvel-owned films.
X-Men has never done it for me, Wolverine stand-alones don't interest me, the new Spiderman movies were alright, and I don't have faith in new Fantastic 4 movies.
I'm gonna give Batman/Superman movies a whirl, but I'm still struggling to picture Affleck as Batman lol.
I think all these guys have agreements that pay them a certain percentage of the box office. If RDJ is in Cap 3, that just means a bigger pile of money for everyone.I know it's about the big picture and the story, yadda yadda, but I wonder how Evans feels with RDJ basically being marketed as 50% of his next film.
RDJ has had three films of his own, and (rightfully) dominates the Avengers storyline. He hasn't really had to share the spotlight. Evans has had two movies of his own, and plays the "rah rah" character under RDJ in the Avengers. And now, for his third film, he's got an even split with Iron Man.
I'm sure he doesn't care, but it's interesting to me.

It's my understanding that RDj has managed to secure these roles because of the success of Ironman. Thor and CA#1 did not do well initially and even Hulk after its rebranding did not either. Point is all the movies with RDJ are more successful. Marvel knows this and RDJs agent knows this. From what I read, RDJ has managed to make his case to Marvel to secure these roles. Further, at this point there is no need to recast Ironman or Tony Stark or pursue another storyline outside of Avengers.
His continuity and focal point are like Jackman as Wolverine. At this point I just cannot imagine anyone else as Wolverrine or Ironman.
Technically it becomes CA3, IM4, Black Panther tease or prequel depending on his screen time.
Not to take anything away from Cap (I like how Evans has played the role, CATWS might be my favorite MCU pic), but Marvel even knows that the crossovers garner the bigger audiences and more excitement.
I don't think the "real Mandarin" will ever be a plot point. I think the "All Hail the King" one-shot was just a throwaway retcon to appease the fanboys upset about the Trevor twist. Reintroducing the Mandarin would rely on the casual audience being intimately familiar with a special feature in the Dark World blu-ray. If I had to guess, I'd imagine RDJ is done with solo Iron Man films. You mean Avengers age of Ultron? If so I think we are in agreement. The real Mandarin will be in IM 4 I bet. Black Panther is definitely being set up with the vibranium and Andy Serkis' character.
WB is reportedly eyeing Jared Leto to play the Joker in 2016's Suicide Squad.
