Oregon lost to Arizona, love.
He is referring to ASU beating Oregon in the Pac-12 Championship game
Oregon lost to Arizona, love.
Best case would be Miss State winning out. That would eliminate Bama and Ole Miss permanently, and it would just need an Auburn loss to move ND in.
Oregon still has either Arizona (who they lost to at home) or Arizona State in the Pac-12 Title game.
Big 12 doesn't have a conference championship. I can see both TCU and K-State losing at least once more, but if ND wins out, I'd say their resume trumps both of there's.
The thing is, I think the rankings are determined by best win so far, which would change if they lose and if ND ends up beating ASU, who's 6-1 right now. USC needs to win out however, but they do have a win over Arizona (team Oregon lost to) and Stanford on the road.
Honestly, don't see Oregon finishing 12-1. I see them slipping up against a very good ASU team. The main focus needs to be beating them on the road, because they'll be extremely tough.
I am pulling for the Utes this weekend. Not only does it knock Oregon down, but it would actually improve ASU's SOS and would make the loss the U$C suffered at their hands look better. We beat ASU and $C and those victories look better. It would also make Sparty's loss to Oregon look a little worse, no? I realize this thread is about who we need to lose this weekend but it's a related subject. Go Utes!
That's precisely what every Oregon local sports radio show is saying right now. Sans the Go Utes! part.
They're petrified that ND will jump up with that scenario.
I will be rooting for MSU tonight. I get the impact on OSU pulling the upset for ND's playoff chances, but I'll hope something happens later (Utah/LSU) or down the road to free up that spot.
Fuck OSU. I will root for Michigan against them too. I can't stand OSU fans.
If you hate OSU, I do as well, the worst possible outcome for their fan base is to win all there games until Michigan then to lose to an embarrassing Michigan squad.
Has this thread replaced the other "Upset Alert" thread as the place to gather and discuss the good non-ND games as they happen?
Not replaced, but they got drunk together and made a baby. This is the baby.
This thread and the other thread got together and made a baby which is this thread?
Baylor is going to beat Oklahoma, but it'd be nice if Oklahoma got their shit together. Currently 38-14 and driving. Could be a big win for Baylor.
They wouldn't "have to" put Baylor ahead of TCU. Their OOC is by far shitty enough to offset head to head.Only positive to Baylor winning is that an 11-1 Baylor and 11-1 TCU would create some chaos in the rankings. They'd have to put Baylor ahead of TCU, but they also seem hell-bent on punishing Baylor for the OOC schedule. Maybe an 11-1 ND ends up ahead of both.
