I heard "gruesome" and "we'd rather not show you the replay" on the CBS broadcast. But then saw broken ankle on the ticker under the ASU game, which doesn't sound like a career-ender. I guess we'll see. Anyway, it's too bad. He's a hell of a ballplayer.
I just saw the replay on ESPN. It didn't look that bad. Maybe CBS had another angle that was gruesome.
To add insult to injury, it sure looked like he got smoked on a helmet-to-helmet hit in the end zone.
Injury is why the horse collar rule exists. Ironically, it wasn't a horse collar tackle that got him to bend back like that.
