This guy's measurables and ratings are insane. Surprised we hadn't heard of him.

Buckeyes Look Good To Sammons

"I think Ohio State is at the top of his list or in his top two or three," Sammon's father Brandon Sammons said.
Sammons could add to that offer list in the next week. He wants to finish his summer visits by Aug. 1 and is considering Notre Dame, Michigan State, Purdue, Kentucky, Duke, Virginia Tech, Georgia, Alabama, Auburn and LSU for possible visits.

I talked to someone who met him at Ohio State's camp. Said he was a freak of nature from a size perspective

top prospect in ohio imo....granted he plays against small school competition, but the kid is a machine and we'd be in dream mode if we landed him.

agreed though he's urban's to lose unless BK can work his magic in the cincy area that i think is fading.

How is it fading? Because we lost Hilliard, one prospect?

i feel like he's been gone long enough now that he's lost some of the original ties in there.

a few years ago i would have never thought we'd lose any prospect out of cincy, but urban knows that part of the state is loaded and seems to be recruiting it much harder than tressel did.

Any reason we haven't offered him? Don't want to be too late to the party. We've seen how that's hurt us before.

Idk. Seems all his big offers have come after visiting the school. Maybe ND wants to see him in person as well.

Best high school football player or best college prospect? IMO there are a lot of better high school football players but he may be the best prospect for college and the NFL.

He looks like he is 30 years old.

Uncle graduated from ND in the 70's, has a cousin that currently enrolled and grew up rooting for the Irish. Elston is building the relationship with him and he knows that ND is doing their homework before extending an offer.

Kid is monster in stature but he seems to be a lil slow off the ball and tentative. I'm not sure why some of the plays were on the highlight reel. He seems to be able to swim move most of he competition because of his height but seems to rely on the bull rush mostly. How is the competition he plays against?

Physically his looks like a specimen but as of now, and what I've seem on the highlights, he doesn't seem very explosive and almost tentative to make a hit. Overall I say "Meh" and I would like to see more.

I don't think the competition is that great, a lot of smaller Christian schools. Good news is his coach is Eric Taylor, so he'll be getting coached up by the best. Clear eyes, full hearts.

Have to remember he's basically got a year of varsity football under his belt and hadn't even tried the game before moving to America as a basketball prospect. He's definitely someone you evaluate for upside.

"He's about as naïve as it comes for a kid that everyone calls a high-profile recruit; he has no clue. We had a chance to go down South and meet Coach Saban, [Gus] Malzahn and [Mark] Richt, and Prince couldn't have picked any of the three out of a lineup," Brandon Sammons said. "You say to him, hey, Coach Saban wants to talk to you and he's like, 'I have no clue who Coach Saban is.' That's part of what I like about it, though; he doesn't have any preconceived notions about it."

Thought that was pretty funny.

From the visit thread:
Cincinnati Hills (Ohio) Christian Academy 2016 defensive end Prince Sammons hasn’t visited Notre Dame yet. That might end this weekend.

According to his father Brandon Sammons, Prince is trying to decide whether or not to attend the Michigan at Notre Dame game on Saturday.

The 6-foot-8 and 260-pound Sammons added late July scholarship offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and Penn State, and currently has at least 16 offers. Among his others are Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Kentucky, Louisville, Duke, Cincinnati and Illinois.

Prince is a 4-star prospect in the 247Sports rankings. He is the country’s No. 61 overall prospect, the No. 4 strong-side defensive end, and the No. 5 prospect in Ohio.

Sammons has 17 Crystal Ball predictions with 82% to Ohio State and 18% to Michigan.
Prince Sammons Mauling Over Big Visit This Weekend

Really hope he visits and picks up an offer.

Visiting for the game, pretty epic overhaul on the Dline if ND can somehow land King and Robertson to go with him.

Scout: his dad has an uncle that attended ND and goes to the games along with a cousin who currently attends ND. They are going to meet up with them. The one coach all over him is Urban. He doesn't like how much schools spend on mailings, considering where he came from knowing others could use that money. He doesn't even open the mail.

Damn. Talk about perspective.
