Wow. He's just a flat out freakish athlete. There are a few athletes every class that are just a cut above the rest in terms of size, speed, explosion, strength. Campbell is one of those few this class. Wish he never de-committed from Michigan. He and Drake Harris together would've been a problem.

I've seen his hands mentioned as an issue by a bunch of reporters at the Opening and earlier camps. Not sure how much of that is coachable, but it'd be a shame for all that physical talent to be wasted by stone hands.

I've seen his hands mentioned as an issue by a bunch of reporters at the Opening and earlier camps. Not sure how much of that is coachable, but it'd be a shame for all that physical talent to be wasted by stone hands.

Reminds me of certain RB we had leave this last yr....but I guess running stiff and upright with bad hands is worse.

obviously there is some hand eye coord involved with catching the ball but it really is a repetition/confidence thing. If this kid just gets in front of a jugs machine and runs mad 5 yard drills his hands will improve a ton.

sometimes you just don't have GOOD HANDS...eye hand coord is HUGE but if your hands are bricks...it's like you are trying to catch w/ your feet...he needs some jet sweeps

That's what I am saying tho. just hit the jugs machine hard. He may never develop soft hands but he can get "comfortable" catching the football.

Mike Leach always recruits speed first then he would make players catch 300 tennis balls a day to improve their coordination and catching. It can be taught.
