I think the Cavs could contend for a title this year. It wouldn't surprise me if they're in the finals, with or without the trade.

As much crap as the East gets, Cavs won't survive past the ECF as they stand. Bulls, with a healthy Rose, would be the favorites. LBJ needs Love more then he needs Wiggins.

Nobody knows what Rose will be, even if he's healthy. And it's a big if at this point. 2 knee surgeries in 2 years. Played very little competitive ball in 2 years. They did gain Gasol, but they also lost Deng. I'd say it's close to a coin flip. But I'd take an experienced Lebron.

I like the Gasol pickup for the Bulls. But Im not 100% sold how he will fit with their team. I dont think they can afford to have Noah and Gasol on the floor at the sametime, and if you designate one to the bench you arent playing to either one of their strengths. Noah and Gasol are exceptional team players, but Im just not sold on Noah playing the 4, or Gasol playing the 4.
Perhaps. But Gasol won 2 titles (and played for a 3rd) with Bynum. And it's not like Noah has has much of a scoring offensive game. He's good at moving the ball, screening, passing, and knocking down occasional 10-12 footers. Noah's mobile enough to play 4 defensively along side Gasol, if necessary.
I think pairing the 2 of them together (along with the rest of their frontcourt), will be good. The only question I have is wether or not age/desire have eroded Gasol's effectiveness, or his ability to be tough-- honestly, he has been pretty soft mentally and/or physically the last couple of years.
If the Bulls are getting a version of Gasol similar to 2010, then I have no doubt the move will work out well for them.
No, I get that. Gasol and Bynum worked well. But Gasol was also a little bit younger. I just dont see Noah being able to guard Bosh or Love (if the Cavs get him). That will really take him out of his element being on the perimeter. I dont think they should worry about that over the course of the season, but in a 7 game series, I think is going to be a tough matchup for Noah.
This actually would be great for the Suns. Trading Bledsoe for Monroe sounds even better. Monroe would be another strong post presence and gives Plumlee time to develop while preserving cap space in the long run.<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Report: <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Suns?src=hash">#Suns</a> Considering Presenting Greg Monroe An Offer Sheet. <a href="http://t.co/4sPQZYRIDT">http://t.co/4sPQZYRIDT</a> via <a href="https://twitter.com/247Sports">@247Sports</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/NBA?src=hash">#NBA</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Hoyas?src=hash">#Hoyas</a></p>— Michael Bohlin (@MBohlin247) <a href="https://twitter.com/MBohlin247/statuses/491253739064266752">July 21, 2014</a></blockquote>

That's probably the best offer they've gotten so far. McDermott and Mirotic are unproven, but with big time potential. Taj makes them better defensively immedietely.
I hate to lose any of those guys, frankly. But I'm fine with it for Love.
They have no use for Gibson since they are rebuilding, and Mirotic and McDermott aren't as highly regarded as the Cavs young guys or as desirable as having their own first rounders from Boston. It's not a good offer.

Do you even know who Mirotic is? He's widely heralded as the best European prospect since Dirk. Past Wiggins, I don't see what prospect is better than any of them, especially Mirotic.
If you're the Wolves, wouldn't you want Klay over a European guy who, despite loads of potential, hasn't played a minute in the NBA?
Couldn't thy same thing be said for Wiggins?
