Justin has an awful lot of package deals going. Whoever gets him is apparently filling up their class the next day.

This is why I'm still pretty excited to see if we win in the end. He and Coney to go with Barajas equals YES PLEASE!!!

Love that 247 has an article headlined "Ohio State Could Soon Reel In First Five-Star", and it shows Hilliards picture.

If we can just get Chris Clark to tweet that ND is "da bomb" we will be all set.

Interesting that Cornell is off everyone's board. Guess it shows you should take recruiting rankings with a grain of salt.

While I agree rankings are somewhat overrated. I think we should credit a majority of this fall to his massive weight gain. No way around it, the dude went from being a WDE and elite pass rusher to a 3tech DT/SDE with a belly. Thats going to turn off some folks. Also, his statement last month or so when he said that had lost all the weight and gotten his body back in top shape was complete BS. He's just as fat as ever. I would bet that his rankings adjust accordingly.

depends on how true it actually is that he is off some people's board. Some of this talk is simply speculation from fanbases.

IMO, that Coney tweet made me feel no better about our chances with Hilliard, but seems like we have a better chance with Coney than I thought.

That's why I put zero stock into hilliards tweet about Clark and Cornell. Package deals never work out unless they both go to same high school.

K.

Don't mean to be a dick, but I think we've had this discussion countless times that OSU certainly has appeal from a partying/excitement perspective.

No offense taken. I see the appeal of partying there. It was just me and another guy were talking this weekend that neither one of us have seen any campus. Love the Columbus area just love an actual campus environment more

Jesus a corp of Hilliard, Masina, Coney and Barajas would be insane. I really have no clue where we stand in Masina's recruitment. Probably somewhere near the top group, but it looks like Utah and UCLA are at the top at this point.

I do too. He is a great player who would be very welcomed! Gotta get him up for a visit, then we will know a little better where we stand. You've probably already seen on here though that Utah is kind of in the driver's seat so to speak.

It's not really players and coaches, he already followed a lot of OSU's and ND's. What is troubling for ND fans is that he started following a lot of current and future OSU students. And I mean A LOT.

No bueno.

How else will he stay in touch with them when he's in South Bend?

Yeah, I read that, but I would think its because of the home state factor. Just a wild crazy guess from someone who doesn't know much, but I would think that when Osa visits powerhouses, Utah will fall out. I have been told that I'm biased, but I would think that once he got on campus & saw what it takes for ND to be excited about a season, he will want a piece of that. I know Utah has had some good years, but 8-5 for them & the coaches get raises. Again, just shooting from the hip & I am sorry about bringing another player into Hilliards thread.

It most likely just me, but I have gotten over my excitement for Hilliard. Yes, he seems to be a class act. He has done things the right way. He is more than likely a phenomenal talent for the future. However, I have succumbed to the American way of thinking here. I WANT AN ANSWER NOW! Haha! Honestly, it appears he isnt sure yet, but part of me (and it gets bigger each time I open his thread) says, "what if he knows & is just trolling fans". Doesn't sound like he is that type of kid, but he is a kid & I can still somewhat remember that age. I would have enjoyed doing that to hear all the fans trying to sway me. I would have also enjoyed sparking some anger, just to shake sh1t up.

Anyways, sorry for a useless post. Just ready for the season to start.

People need to start accepting right now that he is not coming here.

Just read the Rivals article from the 22nd, and If I had a CB I would put it on OSU. Just choice words here and there really sealed it for me. I'll be shocked if he is Irish, I hope BK has a nice consolation prize up his sleeve.

Not getting a good feeling either. Looks like he follows the OSU Class of 2018 on twitter. That can't be a good thing for us.

Yep. It's all OSU.

We can still have a great linebacker class so I'm not sweating it. Next.

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

It's really far from over IMO. Sure it could be OSU, but unless Justin has a slam piece in South Bend he's not just visiting ND to waste our time. Dad in our corner, business degree. It's not like we have nothing working for us

It has to be closer. If it wasn't, why did he come back for the II? I agree with you 100% on this. Sure he may pick the instate school, but you have to believe he is torn on this one. No way he visits that many time if he isn't.
