Somebody give me the good news. I'm starting to think we land this kid.

Had a great visit, really seemed like we blew him away in my opinion. He hung with Alford and Cooks a lot of the time and they talked about the school and what a degree from ND means long term, he got to hang with the players and really enjoyed them and stated they are the kind of guys that have their head on right and know that football will end so he seemed to grasp what ND can offer outside of football. He isn't naming leaders but said that this trip defiantly boosted ND up.

Seems like to me he is seriously considering us and has a unique and strong relationship with Alford and Cooks, I wouldn't be surprised if we were his leader, just my take

Had an awesome visit. Had a full tour of all the facilities. Got to spend a lot of time with the coaches and sit it on meetings. Really enjoyed his time with Cooks and Alford. Coaches didnt spend a lot of time with regards to Xs and Os. Loved the guys on the team. Said football isnt a lifetime thing but Notre Dame is. Visiting UCLA later this week, and then isnt sure what he'll do next. ND definitely boosted their position.

If I were a betting man, I definitely wouldnt bet against us.

Thank you guys for the updates.

Does anyone know of his decision timeline?

Personally, I like when they take other visits right after being blown away by ND. I feel like they'll have a good idea of how special ND is when they can see something else right away.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but, I thought I read something on here that he WILL be going to college outside of Texas. Is that right? If so that eliminates a huge road block for us.

Not sure about timeline, he doesn't mention one and only has one planned trip to UCLA so hard to say, if I was betting I would say he takes a few officials before deciding and I would bet ND gets one of those officials

I've heard that rumored but I don't think he has ever come out and said that. Will be interesting what he does with his officials, I'm guessing its a ND-UCLA-Oklahoma battle with us in first right now

You might be thinking of Newsome who has said there is a very good chance he leaves the state for football. Soso has been closely tied to Baylor and OU so he has some regional ties. With OU coming off the season they just had and Baylor's offense putting up video game like numbers this will be a tough pull but I do like where we stand. I would think this goes to officials and we are a no brainer for one of those.

Why don't you look ONE page back?

I'm sorry, but you literally pulled this card on me yesterday.

Mixing up these Texas kids. Good problem we are after so many, I suppose. I still like our shot against Baylor, OU, UCLA vs Tex A&M and Tex.

Per his convo with Sampson, its likely we'll get an official later in the process. Highlight were watching practice, film sessions, talking with Alford and Kelly. Also, meeting Jack Swarbrick, seeing the Basilica, and talking with players. Said that it will probably be the first and last time that he remembers a church as a highlight of a trip. We're definitely moving up the charts. Most important was spending time with the players. Zaire, Bryant, Folston, Hunter Jr.

ISD knows more than I. However, OU is technically leaving the state but is a regional school which IMO will have its pull.

Seems like Jamabo has really identified ND as different from the other elite schools, which I think is important for elite recruits like him. Guys like Jaylon Smith and Lorenzo Carter have done the same in the past, obviously Smith chose ND and Carter decided its not for him which is fine. Hopefully this one goes in our favor.
