How is that ok? Not cool IMO.

I guess since he's not enrolled, he can get away with it, but I thought the same thing. If he's under scholarship, that kind of contact is a violation right? It just gave Mitchell's future new school an extra bit of contact with the recruit.

Plano (Texas) Plano West four-star running back Soso Jamabo has offers from some of the nation's top programs, but the 6-3, 205-pounder says nine schools are above the rest.
The class of 2015 ball carrier specifically mentioned Notre Dame, Texas, Baylor, Oklahoma, Ohio State, UCLA, Stanford, Oregon and Arizona State as the teams that are sticking out at this point.
Per the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Jamabo is the No. 55 overall recruit in the 2015 class, the nation’s No. 3 running back and the No. 9 player in Texas

The Notre Dame staff was hoping to get Jamabo on campus for the Irish Invasion camp on June 20, but I think they’ll settle for having him in South Bend earlier in the month.

“I’m making plans to visit right now,” he said. “When I get back home I’ll arrange flights and I’ll probably get there June 8, June 9 or June 10. That’s when I’ll take my visit up there.”

Jamabo High On ND

Loves that ND is known for putting players in the NFL and that ND makes people better people. Says he is looking forward to seeing the academics because Notre Dame is "probably going to be the best academic school I've been to so far." Also wants to see facilities and get to know coaches and players better. Says getting to know coaches will be the most important thing. Alford has made a phenomenal impression on him so far. Location will not factor in his decision.

He will commit after he gets done with his visits and has a feeling on which school is for him.

Update sounds very positive, personally.

Good update, but I take it the above visit isn't happening now?

If Alford brings in Soso he better get some sort of mad bonus. We need to pay him and keep him. He is just great at building these relationships.

yep gonna be a sad day when we lose him...he's too good to just be a position coach and Recruiting coordinator...someone will give him a head coaching job probably pretty soon

I would think the more likely situation would be OC than HC, right?

Soso and ESB look like elite athletes and both have high ceilings , but their jr stats and tape are just good to me...

With that being said I would love to either or both!

i can see a small FBS school offering him a head coaching gig with his recruiting pedigree, especially somewhere in the southeast

Yea, Sampson was convinced when the decision came down to have Denbrock at OC that Alford would be leaving the program shortly after (meaning 1 to 2 yrs.) for either a relatively high profile OC job in the south or a HC job at a small southern school. His name is pretty big down there over the last couple years. He's done a tremendous job for the school but just as much for himself.

I feel pretty confident that we can pull just abount any RB to commit here besides the ones that don't qualify if these recruits actually knew what kind of Oline they would be getting in the future here. Our runningbacks are going to TEAR it up this upcoming season since we have a dual guy starting.
