I received an email confirming and thanking me for my purchase, but nothing with a raffle number. There is a number in the email listed as 'purchase number'. Would this be my raffle number or should I expect another email?

That is not your raffle number. A separate email will be sent from Sean Calhoun. Please realize that he does this individually for each PP order. Due to working a normal job, significant travel, and making calls-the email could take a few days. However, if anyone has concerns re: procedures or a delay, please PM me your true name and email-and I will give him cr@p.

Ok-Vets have been picked, questions answered, new Gobbler Down website is up, and there are only six days left to purchase a ticket. To those who have purchased, donated, or just thought about it-Thank you. If you were waiting, the time is NOW. Regardless, buy a vet a drink, slay turkeys, and enjoy the break from Snowmageddon.

A little bit different direction than this thread has been going so far but figured it was better to post in here than creating a whole new thread. With that said, do any of you guys Frisbee golf?

Jeddah Deloria, one of the WW, takes his first bird in Nebraska - called in by Andy Thorpe of Gobbler Down.

Awesome take on day 1.

James Takes passed on several birds until he figured it out later in the week and ended up taking this Merriam Gobbler.

Both guys had a ton of fun-both slayed birds, went porcupine hunting with a frog gig, and Jeddah even got himself a coyote. Thanks to those who purchased tickets-it went to a good cause. These two Warriors took bullet wounds for our freedoms and I cannot thank them enough. Pleased that I finally met them at our "Proving Grounds" in Nebraska!!

Was outside Dallas in Weatherford, TX in April-took this nice Rio despite the birds being difficult by not talking much at all.

Joined the crew in Nebraska last week (after taking care of my son's 1st Communion) and was able to take this beast of a bird at 18 yards:

From Nebraska, myself and a bud went to the Rosebud Indian Res in SD to hunt out there-great times and met some great peeps. I was fortunate to take this nice bird at 55 yds after a failed set up on another bird:

Now, it's time to take care of some WV birds. With a tummy full of turkey, I bid all a great outdoors!

I love to fish, mostly small lakes/ponds here in Indiana. My favorite is ice fishing although now that I am an auditor my winter fishing is at an all time low.

Steelhead, you know anywhere good to fish here in Indy? All the state parks are not worth it and I have heard to not waste your time on the White River.

Wanted to bump this thread because I just recently got back into bass fishing. I was wondering what small lakes/ponds you Indy fellas fish that are public or if private, still don't mind the occasional random fisherman.

I work in Lafayette and was just introduced to Fairfield Lakes Park. It has 4 stocked lakes. I was skunked yesterday but still enjoyed the three hours I was out there. I threw everything in my tackle box and came up short. I plan to go a littler earlier and/or a little later in the day next time and also doing a little more exploring.

My family has a cottage up near Sturgis, MI. So far every bass I've caught has been a little one-pounder. Still looking for some lunkers.

You guys should really get into fly fishing. Just got a new Winston 4 wt rod and I'm gonna spend the next few days on some Central PA streams. My GF is also starting at PSU (which is in a world-renowned fishing area) for her PhD.... so I'll be spending a lot of time on the spring creeks in State College.

BTW, the crappies in the picture above have me salivating!

Well, today was the day! I took some vacation time from work this afternoon to hit the woods during the rut, and bow was it worth it. I killed my first deer, and with a bow! She's a little one, but she'll fill the freezer and taste delicious.

She was about 18-20 yards out just beyond the brush pile in the middle of the picture here.

Bloody arrow.

And found her 60 yards from the shot. Double lung. These Slick Trick Magnums really do their job. Tore up the lungs and complete pass through.

I'm floating on cloud 9. There is no better feeling that the adrenaline pumping when drawn on a deer, even if she's a little doe. I'll be hitting the woods again saturday morning to look for Mr Bucky.

What kind of head were you using? That's a pretty nasty hole. Rage?

and that doe isn't crossing anything. The arrow should read no crossing zone.

Thanks in advance.

These guys... Slick Trick Grizz 1 1/4". Slick Trick™ Grizz Trick Fixed Blade Broadheads or Replacement Blades | Bass Pro Shops . I don't trust mechanicals one bit. Even if there is the chance of failure to open, I'm not touching it. This doe ran about 35 yards and was dead in 5 minutes. Rage's and mechs that open to 3-4 inches are just for hunters who don't practice enough or don't trust their shooting (sorry if anyone here uses mechanicals, I just really don't like them).

and that doe isn't crossing anything. The arrow should read no crossing zone.

Haha yeah. It's a small company called Deer Crossing Archery. They make a very quality product at a price lower than the big brands like Gold Tip or Easton. Great little shafts if you're looking to try something new.

That a Henry level gun?! Are you hunting with a .45?

Actually posted a pic from no.1IrishFan's photobucket. It's his gun/pic... But I'd venture a lever .30-30. I haven't sated my bloodlust in years since moving to IN, then on to FL.

My bro killed this year back in NM though, cow elk with the muzzleloader.

Also, a couple weeks ago my dad installed a wildlife cam on a drinker he put in. Check out these pics:

How cool is that??

Koon, you can save yourself a lot of time, money, and irritation by duck hunting at public ponds with a loaf if bread and a pellet gun. You'll bag out every time!!!!!!!!!!
