He is still planning on coming in June isnt he?

In that article he said that he wants to and will try to make it work but it isn't a sure thing. I think him setting his OV now acts as a way of keeping us in the game in case he doesn't make it in June. He's doing a West Coast swing this summer and getting to ND sounds like it'll be pretty tough for him.

He reminds me a lot of Davonte Neal. I don't think he is as quick but he is faster

He did for 1 game it seems

No, Theo's entire junior year he was utilized out of the slot and put up good numbers. Below is from UND.com. Considering he had two first rounders in front of him for production, thats pretty good.

2011 (JUNIOR): Played in 11 games during the season, starting the first nine before missing two with injury ... proved to be a reliable No. 2 wide receiver, hauling in 38 catches for 436 yards and three TDs ... ranked third on the team in receptions, receiving yards and receiving TDs behind Michael Floyd and Tyler Eifert ... had eight games with two or more catches ... produced six games with 50 or more yards receiving ... recorded six receptions for 62 yards and two touchdowns at Michigan (Sept. 17), including 29-yard grab late in the fourth quarter to give Irish a 31-28 lead ... collected six more catches (52 yards) in the victory at Pittsburgh (Sept. 24) ... notched season-highs of eight catches and 83 yards with a TD in a victory over Air Force (Oct. 8) ... had a pair of catches for 67 yards against Stanford (Nov. 26) ... carried the ball eight times for 36 yards and hauled in two passes for seven yards against Florida State (Dec. 29).

Really, since Theo, has BK had both a) A QB that was mobile and experienced enough to get check to a slanting Z thats not his first option and b) a WR that could consitently get open in the Z?

I think TJ would have done great there if we would have had consistent players on the outside. Unfortunetely, we had to have him play all over the field.

I can't help but feel the Slot in BK's offense is akin to the mythical 6'5" 250lb creatures that can rush the passer, set the edge, cover, and play in space in Diaco's defense.

Got an offer from USC and was 'ecstatic'. Will visit USC and UCLA in early June, per Rivals.

If it was totally up to him he would be visiting ND now but they are going on west visits. If he likes ND he will visit twice. Eliminated FSU and Baylor. Guyton is working hard on him.

Glad to see those 2 names drop out. Hopefully Guyton and the appeal of having a QB like Barnett will help us here. Kid is a playmaker.

I don't get why every WR doesn't put a premium on playing with a really good QB in his class. I know some do, but if I were a WR who had NFL aspirations, I would absolutely consider only schools with a good QB in my class or the class above.

There's been a number of WRs who have been invite to the combine/drafted, who have benefited from playing with a solid QB.

I think that we'll see this benefit us this cycle but one thing to take into consideration is there are very few successful true freshman QB's yet every WR expects immediate touches. In most cases its going to take a QB 2+ years to become the starter. So going in together doesn't necessarily mean that's who's going to be throwing you the football right away. More than anything I think WR's would want to look at the type of offense, the entire depth chart at QB or potential depth chart, and history of other WR's with similar skill sets that have had success

The WR should be looking at who's currently slinging the ball around and then who is his replacement. The WR has a much better opportunity to see action as a freshman or sophomore than a QB does.

I agree the WR sees the field before the QB, so who the QB in his class doesn't immediately matter.

But that WR is going to make his 'money' mostly in his junior/senior year, not so much as a freshman/sophomore, so I'd be more concerned with who's going to be my QB during the later years.

I'm not saying the freshman/sophomore campaigns for WRs is irrelevant, just that having a big junior/senior year is more important than having a solid freshman/sophomore year and never building on it.
