If it comes down to just nd and Baylor I really like our chances. I can't see any reason a defensive prospect would want to play with a below average defense in Baylor. Then again I do not know who else makes up his top schools

Oklahoma is a major player. He's been there for a visit and may go back again this spring.

Any hints as to why?

The coach that recruited him left in late February for Arkansas. Also based on articles he jumped on the TCU offer because he felt honored and the school fit. Now, it seems he's just shocked by how much he's blown up and realizes he needs to see more.

Go back and look at Baylor's defensive stats last year. They were better than people gave them credit for (considering how often they were on the field). Sure they didn't play the best teams last year, but I wouldn't call them below average.

If it becomes and ND v. Baylor battle, I think it could be a tough pull. Baylor, TCU, and ND are all private, religious schools. It could be a more difficult sell if he really likes the state of Texas.

Maybe calling them below average wasn't correct, I guess my point was that it would be fair to say last year Baylor won with offense being the 1st priority. It has been that way with them in recent years and they have had some success with that. However if I were a defensive player it would be more appealing to me to attend a program that has shown it can rely on its defense to win games, instead of being secondary. But again that's just my opinion

Top247 update: Kyler Murray climbs in the five-star ranks

Over the course of a weekend in which there were numerous elite defensive backs working out, Mbanasor had the best performance of all of them. He’s tall at just under 6-1 and he is extremely fluid and natural. He transitions well with wide receivers and despite his length he bends extremely well and has great hips. Mbanasor checks in at No. 155 nationally.
