I think so. Not 100% sure of the hold up on the offer. Personally, I like his film better than 80% of the DL ND has offered to this point. Maybe its bc im an effort guy, and seeing a 290lb kid track down a RB 30 yards down the field gets me fired up, but the first step is something that is in the league of an Eddie Vanderdoes. Vanderdoes had one of the quickest/powerful first steps I have seen for an 18 year old.

Loy is reporting Cooks is going out to visit Jozie again (second time in a 3 week span), and an offer could be on the way.

I really hope it comes to fruition. Love the way this kid plays the game. Would be a monster pickup IMO if we could somehow get him in the fold.

I just watched like :45 of his film. My God this kid has 1 gap 3 technique written all over him. Holy hell he is ideal for that position.

I know you guys want to know my scouting report, so I'll give two comparisons.

I see a lot of 'wrestler' in his game. Trevor Laws.... Anyone?

He seems like the defensive version of Trevor Ruhland.

I'd be extremely excited. I love how this kid plays the game. Great motor, quick get off, good pad level (sometimes too low), and some good use of hands.

No doubt he is quick as a cat. Just wondering about his athleticism and if he can stop the run game. Also he looks 30x bigger then his competition.

Arguably the most important aspect of DT's game is short area quickness. One big reason why DT's are usually measured on their first 10 yard split versus full 40 times. Also, in BVG's system the emphasis will be on DT's getting up field quickly and I think he fits that perfectly.

I was wondering why no other big time programs have offered or maybe shown interest. But I hope it all works out for him and whatever school he wants to go too.

Now that is something I can completely agree with.(Day being a beast) Reminds me of Aaron Donald, would like to see Sheldon get after that QB a little more.

I always get hammered for this so have mercy, but I don't believe the 6'3" listed based on his film.

I'm hoping he's at least 6'1" or 6'2" preferably.

Yeah, I see a lot of Ruhland in him. A bit short for ideal measurables IMO, but everything else looks great.

Per his coach in a JC article on 247 he said that he is pretty close to pulling the trigger for them. Apparently they have sold him on playing C.
