Happened at my rival high school, the Haverford School. I know one of the kids involved pretty well. Absolutely crazy.

The lacrosse program there is one of the best if not the best in the country. Interesting to see what happens as a result.

And this happened on the Philly Main Line, which is one of the most affluent neighborhoods in the area.

This is how drugs move through damn near every high school in America.

Glad that this is front page news now that it effected a school system filled with rich, white kids. lol

Exactly. Not buying this for one second. These kids were rich and white and they went to a private school. Rich, white kids that go to expensive schools don't do drugs. Their parents care about them too much to allow that kind of nefarious behavior. Hogwash.

It's a terrible situation, but it's good that it's out in the open now too. No longer will "rich white kid dealing drugs" be just a movie joke (hopefully).

Now I know how you're paying for that new vehicle and have the good looking girlfriend. I knew a jabron like you couldn't pull it off alone!

Anyone who knows anything about drugs knows the rich kids got the good stuff...

I will take it further. Not only to more affluent kids get the best dope (they can afford it), but they always did. In fact, some of these affluent kid's tuition is being paid for by what? Illegal income from what? Think I am kidding?

I don't know why anyone buys the stereotype of the (by in large) "African-American or Hispanic, street corner pusher any more. Big drug organizations are and have been controlled by the wealthy, connected, and affluent. May have started with organized crime, but there was a point where their lawyers, government officials, and other establishment officials took over.

Funny thing is these kids didn't get busted until they got pretty big. I wonder who's income they stepped on?

Prep schools in PA? Pssh. I went to boarding school in the middle of the mountains in New Hampshire for four years. The drug use up there was pretty impressive.

I have a family friend that serves on the state's VICE team and I asked him awhile back why is it that the stereotype of drug dealers is one you depicted. His said two reasons. First, the drug affiliated violence is much more public for minorities, which draws much more attention. Secondly, the clients of the "rich dealers" are users that can pay for their habit without resorting to crime or other unsavory activities. Since they are not creating a disturbance, they go unnoticed to the general public.

my mouth is salivating looking at that jar...i love how when rich white kids get busted for selling they use the line of ...

They were using very traditional business principles,” Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman said at a press conference. “To take those skills and turn it into this kind of illegal enterprise is very distressing.”

when have you heard this kind of talk when someone else outside of rich white kids getting arrested for selling drugs are in an article??

Yeahhhh, I doubt Haverford School's tuition is being paid with drug money. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Also, you want to stop a bunch of children running around with guns pretending they are drug lords?

Simple... legalize and regulate it.

This is only national news because it involves rich, white kids getting busted. This shouldn't even be on the front page of the Philly Inquirer.
