Character Development = Soap Opera
I think some of you would prefer the show if they just made it an hour of mowing down zombies with an oozie. No character interaction, no conversation period... just dead zombies.
Not to get off topic of the episode last night, but does anyone else think the guy with a mullet is full of shit about having a cure and he uses that for control
Personally I liked it better when it was a survival horror thing when Rick was all alone in the first few episodes. And as a "soap opera" I think the lines and writing are really corny and predictable. Not to mention repetitive. Seriously That whole governor story arc was a joke (not to mention he was the most annoying "bad guy" ever, seriously omg he has only one eye he's so scary). The gov has his own team that he manipulates to do his will and to leads them to a huge battle where he escapes only to find another crew that he quickly rises to lead and manipulate to do battle again.
And everything always works out perfectly. When they get surrounded by the guys darrel is with and everyone has a gun to their head. Everyone makes it out ok? Seriously no one gets shot, scraped, or barely bruised? The worst thing to happen is Rick gets his ears ringed for like a second and a half? Or what about when the farm is overrun and everyone meets safely like 10 minutes later? ( ok everyone important, a few random extras got their first lines just to make it more meaningful when they get killed). This time they took a little longer, 5-6 episodes, but everyone important made it back ok to that boxcar. (I get that the little girls died boohoo, and yea Tyrees and Carol aren't there yet but you wanna try and convince me they arent going to end up there in the first few epsiodes?)
I'm a big fan of this season. Finale was awesome minus the last line. I was 75% sure Carl was going to get shot at the end but it never happened. That would have been epic.
Where's Beth?? Did the terminus people snatch her?
Seems pretty clear that Tyrese and Carol are going to play some part in saving the group. I just wonder how much of the next season will be spent there...
Yeah, for a minute I thought Corl might die too. I think Corl will hang around till at least midseason in season 5. I expect some old mainstays in the main cast are going to bite the bullet next season. There was an awful lot of backstory the last two months, and it gets harder and harder to keep viewers emotionally invested in 12-or-so characters.
They haven't really stuck to the comic book persay... but in the comic book,Corwrl is the final survivor.

Nothing was as bad the Search for Sophia.
Gotta say, I am a little disappointed with last night's episode. It just didn't hook me for the second half of the season.
