Yup. You sign them, then figure out where they'll help the team the most.

Probably make clones of him. Then he plays everywhere.

the thing is that he only wants to play Left Tackle and thats why his committable offers aren't so plenty

While I admire his desire to play the as the best OL on the field, that request doesn't seem realistic. You're going to have to spend a year in the program to get acclimated to the scheme, the strength, the speed, and the expectations. Then you cannot expect to overtake somebody who has been playing LT for 3 years and reject the game time experience of playing RT or LG to get your feet wet. Big Boy Football for OL may require you to play where you can get on the field before you get to your actual position later in your career.

Right, and I read recently that we are interested in him as a tackle, which is why he is still interested in us.

he could probably start from day one at LT @ TCU though?

They had a sophomore starting at left tackle this year. He started 13 games as a true freshman according to their website. Their line returns everyone except the center.

he dosen't :) I would let him come to ND and compete though kid could be great

Yeah, we've had a lot of success with Zack Martin at tackle, even though he is built more like a guard. I have no problem giving Braden a shot at tackle. He is just such a freak athlete, I just want to get him in the program, the risks be damned.

At 6'6 he can play either or. That's actually a more typical tackle height than guard height. Why are people saying he'll better at guard?

I think it's the short arms and compact, powerful build.

He would start from day 1 for TCU. We were manhandled in the trenches this year. TCU is selling early PT (plus his sister being here)..GayNm is selling recently having tackles go top 5. Apparently has family around Auburn area hence the interest but who knows

Top100 OL Braden Smith is also one of the nation's top athletes. Recently ran 4.69 & repped 575lbs three times

I know we are out but still. Repped 515# 3 times for bench press.

Maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention, but when did Auburn become in play?
