Either the whole family got conned by a bad agent OR something is afoot behind the scenes OR both. What do you all think? Who has some throw-shit-against-the-wall tinfoil hat conspiracy theories?

Maybe Kelly isn't a #RKG.

On the plus side, less competition for the ladies on campus. Dude was gorgeous... [Kuehnja any input here?]

They are airlifting the entire ND campus to North Korea?

At least I won't get the living **** scared out of me when I accidentally run into him at a bar. Not that that's happened before or anything...

If this is even remotely close to accurate (which I would say it would be given other info I have read on it before), there is significantly more value in going the top two rounds.

» Over the Cap- 2013 NFL Draft Pick Contract Estimates

Huge differences at the top, but as you get farther down the board the difference between being taken at the top of the second round and being taken in the sixth round is (far) less than what a solid player would be likely get in his first year of free agency.

At least he had the decency to tell them. Still doesn't change the fact that he's a moron and is making a very very VERY poor decision.Leave early with no degree in hand and AT BEST a 5th round selection, or stay a year, get the degree, be selected in the 1st-2nd round. Me thinks the choice SHOULD BE FUCKING OBVIOUS!!!

He got a fuckin 2nd-4th round grade, yet he's at best a 5th? Good god you are a dipshit.

Ebron, ASJ and Amaro are all going above him. Fiedorowicz and Lynch will be in the discussion right after that. Niklas is probably either in that group or the one right after as of now. Colt Lyeria is also a huge wild card.

So assuming no unknown small school TEs blow up the combine, which usually happens, he is look at the #4 TE spot at absolute best and probably the #7-8 at worst. Based on last years draft, that means he is probably going in the 4th round, with a chance at the 3rd.

Someone, please tell me he wouldn't blow that projection out of the water with even a decent year next year?

But what if the guy who blows up at the combine is Niklas? His ceiling is as high as any in the draft, would we not agree?

But yeah, coming back guarantee him a 1st/2nd round pick. I still think he can go 2nd though.

Oh fucking christ, already with this shit?

Is it not a fair question? This shit isn't normal. One or two little incidents is normal but something is legitimately fucked about this program.

Meanwhile, haven't heard a damn peep about Yankey, Reynolds, or Tarpley declaring for the draft... when none of them could come back and improve draft stock... because of course.

Saw him at a bar. Wasn't very scary. Completely wasted and pissing in the sink though. Lol.

Man this day sucks. I think Niklas flashed enough potential to go in one of the first three rounds and as high as top of the second, but couldve done himself justice by coming back.

I love that our TE who could possibly go in the 2ND ROUND (which is pretty damn good for any TE) enters the draft and automatically people assume that some sinister plot is afoot behind the scenes at ND. Borderline insane.

Tarpley and Anderson announced they were coming back to "Nerd Nation" already actually.

I suppose, but that also depends on how well he does in the NFL. To me, counting on a bigger contract is riskier than staying a year and getting the extra $1M - $3M signing bonus.

There is not a single freaking person... not one coach, player, or trainer... who expected this or understands the decision. Crazy. And LITERALLY YESTERDAY he said he was coming back.
