I remember when people jumped on me for saying ASU was a very good team. 10-2 against the #4 SOS. Only losses to ND and Stanford.

Depends on who gets up early... if it's Stanford, then ASU is sunk. Conversely, Stanford does not have the firepower on O to come from behind.

Thanks. I'd rep you but I can't.

I really hope ASU smashes Stanford, but we all know what happens when the Devils have something on the line (choke, gag, puke, shit, shoot up heroin and take a nap, drink bleach, snort bath salts, or just commit 6 turnovers)

Just learned that ASU is playing without Marion Grice? Seems like Stanford should be favored in that case.

Grice was out in the AZ game last week too, but they still put up 58. Think people overreacted to their offense being able to function without him based on that anomaly.

Was kind of hoping for MSU and ASU would be the last real Rose Bowl...

Nutty that as we prepare for the Pinstripe Bowl, Stanford is onward to their fourth straight BCS game and back to back Rose Bowls. I don't buy the "academic" argument much when you see them have that sort of success.

To be fair, if we hadn't unexpectedly lost our starting QB, we might be preparing for our second.

I agree that academics isn't an excuse. If there is an excuse, it's our bad luck on the injury front. It's a heck of a lot easier to win when you don't lose a third of your team, including your QB, to injuries.

Take away one of Stanford's safeties and give the other 3 on the two deep nagging injuries that affect their play and cause them to miss time. Then take away in addition to Ben Gardner at least 2 more DL for a portion of the season and give nagging injuries to multiple others. Then take away Skov, Trent Murphy, and another OLB of choice from the 2 deep.

Now go over to their wonderful OL that they rely on so much and take out 3 starters. Dealer's choice. Then take away Kevin Hogan so they have no QB whatsoever. And then in their game against Oregon go ahead take whichever backup QB they're playing for the season as the starter and take him out for the second half.

How many wins do you think they get? And all of that adversity right there still isn't as much as ND faced this season on the attrition/injury front.
