Are we talking about college basketball local talent? Because then that would make sense. Indianapolis is hands down the best basketball talent area anywhere in the country

Care to elaborate?
Each and every year the Indy-are is loaded with D1 kids...loaded. In some years, a bunch of those kids are top 100 players nationally. Name another area that is consistently producing the number of top 100 players that Indiana does. I'm seriously asking, because I don't know and I'm too lazy to look it up.
(Talking about bball here...sorry to derail the thread...just curious on this topic)

Derrick Rose
Anothy Davis
Jabari Parker
Iman Shumbert
Jahil Okafor
Cliff Alexander
Dwayne Wade
Luther Head
Patrick Beverly
Quentin Richardson
Kevin Garnett
Tim Hardaway
Isaiah Thomas
Off top of my head.
All reside from the same City. Not taking anything away from Indy because I know they love there basketball. Heck I would even put DC with Indy.
Hahahahahaha what
Great counter argument.

I'm almost willing to bet that if you put a list together with NBA players from this city or that city Indianapolis would be near if not at the top of the list.

That may be. Someone said it's "hands down" the best. That is clearly false.
And that may be true.
But being "near the top of the list," by definition, doesn't make a place "hands down the best basketball talent anywhere in the country."

Different topic but New England Prep schools have to have the best talent in the country for bball. Granted some of that talent is recruited from outside New England, but it still remarkable basketball. I rode the pine for 3 years at my school and literally was nowhere close to getting playing time. We weren't even that good for our league, and our worst starter would go D-2. Schools like New Hampton and Brewster literally send all 12 of their guys to D-1 schools.
In the Rivals Top 150 for 2012 year there is:
--#2 from Tilton in New Hampshire
--#5 from Notre Dame Prep in Mass
--#6 from South Kent in Connecticut
--#9 from St Marks in Mass
--#17 from Brewster in New Hampshire
--#30 from Brewster in New Hampshire
--#31 from Brewster in New Hampshire - Semaj Christon
--#69 from Tilton in New Hampshire
--#71 from St Marks in Mass
--#97 (Zach Auguste!) from New Hampton in NH
--#103 from Bridgton in Maine
--#136 from Notre Dame Prep in Mass
--#146 from Notre Dame Prep in Mass
The chosen one, I like how you get it STL. Myles Davis also played up there but Notre Dame academy screwed up his paperwork. Jaylen Reynolds did as well, he was the sixth man on Semaj's Brewster team
